You obviously have not seen them play, not just the FSU game have they looked completely dominant. Lamar Jackson looks like the Heisman this year.
Bobby P has a long history of severe over performance. When he was in the SEC he was consistently doing more with less than any other coach. That's a bold statement considering Steve Spurrier's history.
The problem is, he historically doesn't recruit well enough to have the talent to turn those extra wins into long term success (by that I mean be a real title contender). BP is dangerous to any team he plays, and can jump up and bite almost anyone. That said, it is very unlikely given his talent differential that he fields a true top 5 team. He will get lots of attention, and win some games he shouldn't, but he will also likely lose some games that he should. In a playoff situation it would be very difficult for me, given his history and cyclical career, and his relative talent (should he survive to be in the playoff talks, his team will be facing much better talent, well prepared, and well coached), to put this teams in the top 5 of any given year, let alone number 1.
