So what's the latest? Is he still a Vol?

Reaffirmed this past week in front of press corp that included a schmuck closet Mizzou fan/reporter.

The cows are all in the barn safe and sound with the exception of Thomas and Sawyers. They will be the only drama we will have to deal with on NSD.

Just went back and watched this guys film. He is a man among boys on the field. Dude is a vicious hitter and will add something we've been missing for quite a while. Hard to pick a favorite in this class with Hurd etc.... but if you're not fired up about this guy yet , just rewatch the hudl film. This guy is truly a bada$$ GBO

I really just have that gut feeling he will be an impact player for us. He is my favorite defensive prospect. I bet this hoss does not get caught pinching inside every play on a sweep for 30 yards

Nate Peterman is the best example of this. 4* player, but no offers from UF, FSU, UCF, or USF.

That is a little suspicious, no doubt...but you may also recall a certain consensus 4*, Elite 11 QB from Georgia who, despite being a high character, hardworking, extremely intelligent and talented player, not to mention a perfect choice to run an option offense, didn't have an offer from either Georgia or Georgia Tech.

I agree! Of the players most likely to be first round NFL picks in this class down the road (hopefully 2018) I think it's Malone and Hendrix. JMO

OK - I'll go there. Why? Value in a later round? Proven performance in college? Amazing arm? Great leader?

If it is because he is better than Johnny and Teddy - no. Not even close.

Of course these are all just opinions but: better arm strength than both JM or TB, leadership, experience, strength, good runner. I think Boyd will have a better career than both. We will just have to wait and see.

Not sure about that, Manziel has got a hell of an arm and he is great at the touch on the deep ball that very few QBs even in the NFL have.

Fair enough. All of us have to guess at this point. Will be interesting to see how it plays out.

I agree. Manziel has all the tools. They will work on him to not force passes into coverage. Other than that he has it all. Can make progression reads quickly and has all the throws. As mobile as it gets.

Teddy is also far more polished than Boyd. Has all the throws and great pocket presence. Really good with his progressions as well.

Both have quick releases. There are many reasons these two guys are top ten picks in every mock draft. Boyd on the other hand is being projected at pick # 150+ by nearly all of them. Slower release and slower reads.
