I think we can all agree, not a single other school in the nation could top this past weekend on Rocky Top right now and what Hendrix experienced.

I met Hendrix at the Hilton late Sat. He is a pretty impressive guy. He seemed excited to be there. Hope he makes it official

I wasn't at the game, but I know plenty that were. According to those that were there, that was one of the best Vol Walks in a long time. I'd love for UF to try to top it with whatever it is they do.

Best I could do is this pic. Couldn't get the vid of Butch leading to load up. 13 year olds birthday and he was right on the edge giving high fives to all the team. He's still talking about it. Absolutely fun thing to be part of as Butch brings excitement and anticipation back to the program.

“Overall, I thought it was a pretty good visit[.] I think I’m going to have a hard time comparing Tennessee to other schools, because I think it’s going to be hard for them to beat what I’ve seen this past weekend.”

“The Vol Walk is something really special, because I’ve never seen that many people lined up just to wait for the players to get off the bus,” Hendrix said. “And that’s every home game, so that really amazed me. It was the first time I’d ever been there (for a game). It was just kind of breathtaking to see that many people and how loud the stadium was.”

“They broke it down to me, their defense, and we watched film together. They just talked about the position I would be playing and how I could affect other teams with my speed and things like that,” Hendrix said, adding that Tennessee has expressed interest in playing him at the Leo position in its 4-3 base defense. “They just said that they could see me playing next year.”

Another highlight of the visit, he said, was a Sunday morning boat ride on the Tennessee River with Jones and the rest of Tennessee’s coaches, their wives and some of the Vols’ current players.

He said he’s “going to probably get back” to Tennessee again before making his college choice, and he admitted the Vols are standing out to him among the teams he’s currently considering.

“It’s still pretty even,” Hendrix said, “but Tennessee’s kind of out there for me a little bit.”

He said that he wants to make his decision in December, before the end of the year.

Still think there is a chance he decides to shut this down in the next week or so.

Either way we will be watching Hendrix suit up for the Vols next year.
