Overall, I thought it was a pretty good visit[.] I think Im going to have a hard time comparing Tennessee to other schools, because I think its going to be hard for them to beat what Ive seen this past weekend.
The Vol Walk is something really special, because Ive never seen that many people lined up just to wait for the players to get off the bus, Hendrix said. And thats every home game, so that really amazed me. It was the first time Id ever been there (for a game). It was just kind of breathtaking to see that many people and how loud the stadium was.
They broke it down to me, their defense, and we watched film together. They just talked about the position I would be playing and how I could affect other teams with my speed and things like that, Hendrix said, adding that Tennessee has expressed interest in playing him at the Leo position in its 4-3 base defense. They just said that they could see me playing next year.
Another highlight of the visit, he said, was a Sunday morning boat ride on the Tennessee River with Jones and the rest of Tennessees coaches, their wives and some of the Vols current players.
He said hes going to probably get back to Tennessee again before making his college choice, and he admitted the Vols are standing out to him among the teams hes currently considering.
Its still pretty even, Hendrix said, but Tennessees kind of out there for me a little bit.
