I wouldnt mind not getting mosely and replacing him with a ready to play juco DT

The only thing that worries me about that idea is that we absolutely need 1 or 2 guys who will be here 3-5 years to develop.

But if we can't get the guys we want out I high school, I wouldn't be upset with getting a few JUCOs for the short term.

There is talk of a delay in his commitment. I wonder if the coaches are thing the same thing given how thin we are at DT?

Hendrix. He is another one of those silents. Mosley is a different story. Something went wrong about his recruitment and he is going to be delaying his commitment.

Hopefully the staff now notices that having a guy as a "plug" in the middle of the DL is not always a good thing. We need speed rushers and guys who can move on the DL. If Mosley were closer to 300, I'd say he was a take. Especially with him being a TN kid. Coming in needing to lose 50+ lbs would be a risk IMO as we need DL help now.

I think have a plug in the middle is much more effective than people think. Teams are struggling to run the ball between the tackles against us. We just don't have the speed and we don't take the right angles to stop teams who run on the outside. I think Dan McCullers has been much more effective than his stat sheet shows.

Big DTs is the way to go IMO when stuffing the middle of the field. Dan struggles in passing situations, but he plugs the middle on run plays pretty well. The coaches just want more effort from him on pass rush, and more more consistency in getting into the back field on running plays. The problem is our DEs can't hold the edge. Unless you bring a S into the run stopping schemes you must rely on those DEs to get to the edge, especially on the weak side. Our problem is just that, our WDEs are terrible. It's why Veeren, a pure freshman, is competing to start there.

Who else think he commits on his OV the Georgia weekend in front of all the other talent we have coming in?

"At first it was just Tennessee and Florida that I was looking hard at, but now that [Kiffin] got fired I am really going to look at [USC] harder," Hendrix said. "I see it as a positive because when I went to the school I liked everything but him because I barely talked to him."

"Missouri and Indiana are in my top five," Hendrix said. "I am going to try to get Missouri and South Carolina [official visits] set up, because I want to see [db]Jadeveon Clowney[/db]. Those will probably be January [visits]."

"I am going to Tennessee for the Georgia game," he said. "I am hoping it will be a good game and I want to re-see what I have already seen, kind of take my time and let my family see it to."

Hendrix plans to drive to Knoxville shortly after his own game on Friday night. He will be joined on that visit by his mother, brother and uncle. "
