Visited this past weekend for the first scrimmage. Here are some quotes from the 247 article based on his visit.

“It’s a nice campus,” said Beal, who’s ranked the nation’s No. 288 overall prospect and No. 34 wide receiver in the 247Composite for the 2014 class.

“They’ve got intensity in the practice, especially for the receivers and the (defensive backs).”

“I talked to him a lot before that visit,” Beal said. “He told me they wanted to get me back up there. He’ll be down in the spring to come see me practice. (They are) still waiting to offer.

“They told me I’m a good player and all that, but that we’re going to build our relationship some more before they offer.”

Beal said Tennessee’s campus was “bigger than I expected it to be,” and he enjoyed getting a firsthand look at Neyland Stadium and the rest of the Vols’ facilities, including the new Anderson Training Center.

“The indoor field and all that, it was nice,” he said.

“I watched the receivers most of the time,” said Beal, who claims to have been timed at 4.51 seconds in the 40-yard dash. “This one receiver they have is real big — number 18 (Jason Croom). ... He’s huge.”

Georgia, which hosted Beal on his most recent visit Saturday, also has expressed interest in him, and he said he believes the Bulldogs may be close to extending an offer to him.

“That was a real nice (visit), too. I got to sit down with the head coach (Mark Richt) and talk,” Beal said. “They’re coming to see me in the spring at practice.”

“I’m still planning stuff for spring break — probably a week, week and a half from now,” he said. “We’re really going to try and sneak in a bunch. I know I’m going to Georgia Tech on April 19 for their spring game.”
