Quick notes on Wolf and McDowell...
Both commitments had a great weekend and said it was just good to hang out again with coaches, players and coaches families.
McDowell said there was nothing really new to learn about Tennessee. He was here for the Vanderbilt game but it was his first time being in town to hang out with coaches family since Foundation Day and that was the highlight of his trip.
McDowell also visited with Tennessee's baseball staff as he hopes to play college baseball. He is participating in a Major League Baseball event in January, but is focused on being a two sport athlete in college. He's right at 200 pounds after losing some weight during the season. He expects to add it back to 210 or so this spring.
"It was just great getting to be around the coaches and all their families again," McDowell said. "It had been a while since the Foundation Day that I have been able to just hand out with everyone. It was a lot of fun."
McDowell, who will arrive in Knoxville this summer, helped lead Locust Grove High School to their first playoff game this season, finished his high school career with 20 catches for 185 yards and a touchdown in his final prep game.
"It was our first playoff game and I wanted to go out with a bang," McDowell said. "The coaches used me in a lot of different ways in the pass game. It wasn't just a deep route. It was short stuff and rail routes, slants and stuff like that."
"I want to get back up to 205-210 pounds and to add muscle. Getting stronger this winter will help me not only to be ready in the summer, but also will help me in baseball as well."

It just made everything a lot stronger. This weekend, just seeing the coaches with their families and how we all just mixed and mingled together, it was really special.
We were breaking down my highlight tape and seeing the positives and some of the stuff Im going to work on before I come up to Tennessee, McDowell said. I need to work on wrapping up better, because Im good at not wrapping people up when I tackle. Ive really got to work on just form tackling, really, more than anything.
Me and Cameron have grown up together, McDowell said. We played rec ball together until we got to high school, so me and him have been real close. Me and Cams high schools played against each other the past few years.
We still will just, like, check in with each other to see how each others been doing, mainly. Thats pretty much just Auburn, and thats really, like, just to see how Ive been lately and stuff like that, he said. Im not too sure about (whether I will take) any other officials. I mean, Im really not too sure. Ill have to talk with the coaches and see. Im pretty much just set on Tennessee.
While others rise... it's all expected. This class is going to be top 5 at best, top 10 at worst. Nothing to worry about because CBJ has it under control.

#Vols safety commit. RT @Cortez_mcdowell he made his decision, UT won't be his home. accept it and move on and let's get other recruits.
Anybody know anything about this? Sounded like from the quotes in this thread above he is pretty solid for UT.
