'14 GA RB Treyvon Paulk (UT Signee 2/5/14)

Dooley shouldn't have needed a camp circuit. Remember Greg Reid was a 3 star when Urban Meyer had him committed to Florida. Good coaches don't wait on camps to tell them to offer a kid.

I agree. Coaches have to identify talent early and pull the trigger. I'm just saying why Ford's ranking was off.

Dooley is an idiot, can't believe I supported him for as long as I did.

Hey, if we're talking recruiting, he brought in the best player the University has seen since Eric Berry. Is it out of the realm of possibility that he'll even have a better NFL career? No.

Dooley may have brought in some good or great players but that doesn't excuse him for his complete lack of instate recruiting and relationships with HS coaches. Stop defending that egotistical *******. Every day we keep hearing more and more stories of how he completely neglected top recruit after top recruit, HS coach after HS coach. Inexcusable.

Agree. I still can't really believe some of the things he did. Or should I say didn't do. It's almost unbelievable. What I wanna know is could Hart not see these things? Did he not hear these stories? If he knew, DD should've been let go immediately after the uk loss imo

Nobody on staff is taking a year off. Ask yourself this, if you were an elite tailback would you come to UT right now? To be real the last three years we have not put any effort in running the ball consistently. You can't tell me you would. Why do you think UF has had trouble getting WR's lately?

I believe UT did put real effort into running the ball consistently last year.

Immediately would show CBJ and crew are getting impact players. Remember the momentum UT had with Mack. Alexander, Carr, Sanders, and Patrick committed early on? Herron was ready to pull the trigger too.

I'm late to the class of 14. What's the scoop on this kid? I see he has a few SEC offers already. Is he expected to blow up some more his senior year?

Those were the days. Optimism reigned.

"When we start winning games this fall, we'll have to make room for all the 5*'s falling at our feet." :disappointed:

To get a running back this early would be incredibly relieving. Especially a good one.

+1 I think getting a guy like this early would do wonders for our collective psyche as well. We've spent 3 years fretting over this position and always come up short.

I think I've been pretty clear about his failure to recruit the state. I've disapproved of it all along.

The guy sucked as a coach and clearly didn't recruit TN well. I'm not going to take credit away from him for landing someone like CP. Some posters literally drooled over him.
