McDonough, Ga., native and 5-foot-9, 205 pounder Sedrick Palmer recently visited Tennessee unofficially and loved what he saw during his time on Rocky Top.
The visit was really good, Palmer told InsideTennessee.com. I really liked the city of Knoxville. I was actually pretty surprised and the facilities are awesome. I have been to other SEC schools and Tennessees facilities were by far the best so far.
Palmer, who claims 4.55 40-yard dash speed, was actually offered by Vanderbilt, his first, during his time at Tennessee and noticed Tennessee fans flocking to his Twitter feed.
I actually got an offer from Vanderbilt when I was here on my visit, he said. That was pretty crazy, especially after I saw every one of Twitter talking about me. Since I got here I have added a ton of followers from Tennessee fans.
Running backs coach Jay Graham is Palmers primary recruiter, but he also got a chance to meet with head coach Butch Jones, who impressed the Henry County (Ga.) High School prospect from the jump.
I got a chance to talk with Coach Graham, he said. He really likes my film and they are really excited about me. I like Coach Jones too. He is a cool guy and I like the vision he has for the program. You can tell they are going to do well here.
