I wonder if Butch trying to get back in with Chubb has any relation to us not feeling good about Williams, now that he has been offered as a running back at LSU.

I doubt it. The quote above said Butch has been in touch with him recently which likely means weeks not yesterday when LSU offered Williams as RB. I think Butch is contacting as many top tier RB's as he can in order to sign 1 more. It's just like sales, it takes a bunch of no's before you get a yes, a numbers game.

Butch is trying to flip Chubb from UGA.. who showed a high interest in UT before committing
Butch is trying to flip Will Grier from UF.. who showed a high interest in UT before committing
Butch is trying to flip Reed from Bama.. who showed a high interest in UT before committing... and his mother prefers UT

Don't know about Chubb, but I thought I heard Grier was already enrolled in classes at UF.

The Dead Period begins in a week. If Butch can flip them by the weekend, the other coaches can not have any in person contact with them until January 3rd. That only allows the coaches one phone call each week.
