Stopped in at my local ATT store sporting my Big Orange colors and was speaking to the mother of Jvonte Herrod RB. She said UT coaches would be visiting Jvonte this week and was being offered and would accept. Cant find anything on Volnation about his recruitment, I found this on google.

His mom said he was 6'2" and above 225lbs. She is a 20 year bammer fan but doesn't like the way saban stacks up players at a position to keep them from being the competition.
Jvonte looks like a man amongst boys running down the field, of course it is high school ball..

Definitely a 4.6 40 guy from what my untrained eye could see. From the highlights the kid looked like he was harder to tackle than normal. We need RB's that are like that. I would take him as a 3rd option. Does anyone know how good his competition is?

From my former HS, actually. North Cobb plays in a competitive 5A region that as a group produces a good bit of FBS players. Kenyon Drake, for example, came from this playing region.

This kid reminds me of a poor mans Mike Davis. A powerful runner with good speed and a load to bring down. I think he would be a good fit for us. His star ranking doesn't mean a hill of beans.

Reminds me a little of Arian Foster. Big back not great speed but an effective runner.

A RB does not have to be a threat to take every carry to the house to be effective. Anyone watch the stanford game the other night? 5-6-10 yards a carry, chewing up clock, wearing down a defense can win ball games. Knowing you have a guy who can get the tough yards is a good thing to have.
