From AU Rivals -
Ellenwood (Ga.) Cedar Grove Rivals250 linebacker Bryson Allen-Williams already held 24 college offers, and on Tuesday he added number 25. Auburn defensive line coach Rodney Garner spoke with Allen-Williams and extended the offer from the Tigers.
"It was surprising for me," Allen-Williams said. "I called Coach Garner and he said they were just getting out of their defensive meeting talking about me, he told me I had an offer from Auburn. I talked to their staff and they told me that I'm athletic and they like my abilities. They want me to come visit as soon as possible.
"I had a positive reaction. My aunt actually lives in Columbus, Georgia, near Phenix City, which is right near Auburn. She's an Auburn fan and she's excited Auburn offered me. She played college basketball and she's a big sports fan. When I told her Auburn offered, she was pumped."
Allen-Williams plans to attend Auburn's Junior Day on February 23.
The 6-foot-2, 225-pound Allen-Williams ranks as the No. 247 overall player in the first Rivals250 rankings released on Tuesday.
As for favorites, Allen-Williams still maintains South Carolina leads, with strong interest in Georgia, Arkansas, Tennessee, Florida currently.
"I'm staying humble, but the process is going well right now," Allen-Williams said. "I'm not letting the recruiting go to my head."
Allen-Williams has no spring visits set in stone, but would like to visit UCLA, Michigan, Arkansas and other places he hasn't visited yet.
Ellenwood, Ga. is home to former Auburn All-American Marcus McNeill.
