'14 GA LB Kevin Mouhon (Former UT commit 7/21)

MLB all the way IMO. AJ's replacement after his senior year. Gives him a year to put on a little weight.

To me he looks like he could be a MLB or SLB. I'd love to end up with this LB class:

{~} SLB - Mouhon, and Weathered
{~} MLB - Bryant, and (potentially) Wilson and/or Garrett
{~} WLB - Bates, and (potentially) Berry and/or Harrell

i think Mouhon projects best at MLB but yes he could do both. 6'2 225lbs now but he will be 6'2 235-240lbs in college. hes a tackling machine like AJ but hes a few steps faster.

If he's AJ but faster, he is going to be an All-American. Hope he is one at UT.

im not saying hes as good.obviously, he is in high school. im just saying he is that kind of player. makea alot of tackles, tough, physical MLB. but one advantage he has is hes faster.thats all im saying. i hope he makes his way to UT as well.

I'm sure not everyone agrees, but he's the one of the Norcoss trio that I'd most like to see us land.

Me too man just bc of our need there and bc he seems most likely. I quit following Autrys recruitment a long time ago. Plus it doesn't seem like we have a chance with Carter. I'll take Mouhon all day. Kid is a baller.

Come on in Kevin the water is fine!

If Bryant qualifies he's the MLB. Let Mouhoun and Bates kill anything on the outside. While Bryant scapes off anything that trys to cut back to the middle. We just need some big bodies to keep these guys free.

Mouhoun and his speed with Bates will allow us to be very versatile in blitz/coverage calls. Either can cover a back or TE without being a liability. Which makes it hard for an opposing OC and QB to know where the blitz is coming from. That will make us a very dangerous blitzing team up front. Plus with a thumper like Bryant in the middle you've got the talent to play Mouhoun on the outside with absolutely no drop off. I love this potential LB group we've got coming in.

The farther we get into this year's recruiting cycle the more I believe that this is the class that REALLY makes an impact in the SEC, not just the East but the conference as a whole. Our recruits on D, especially, are better in both quality and quantity than any class in the last 5 - 7 years...and we're just over half way through.

My only concern is our recruitment on the lines. While we're not in dire straits at the moment, I'd feel a lot better with some commitments. However, when I consider where we stand right now and where we stood this time last year, I feel like I'm looking a gift horse in the mouth.

Either way, Butch has earned my trust.

Nothing thumps quite like Cherry

Dews has already been told that he has a firm scholarship at UT. I don't know why you guys keep trying to say different. Butch offered the scholarship and it's a done deal. You guys keep trying to change the numbers to fit your needs but Butch has already made it fit his. Dews is on board---plain and simple.

If Garrret, Petera, and Mouhon want to jump on board it will be a greyshirt

hes a potential greyshirt candidate, which would mean he doesnt arrive on campus until January 2015 and would be on scholarship then

Yes he goes as a regular commit right now but if we are able to fill the class with guys we are after then it will change to a gray. It's that simple.

I know Cherry is a year younger, but which guy do y'all like more to fill that MLB spot? love the linebacking group we got going now but after watching Cherrys film I think it's gonna be hard for the coaches to not put him on the field, thanks.

Mouhon and Cecil Cherry are true ILB's like AJ Johnson, but when AJ came in he was needed on the outside because we already had support on the inside. I think these guys (including Bryant) will play where they can help the Vols win. Butch knows what's up.

Cherry is gonna see the field alot his first year. He's playing at a level of at least a college junior already.
