I guess we start planning to keep Barnett around 270lbs and he stays at DE. With Hendrix looking around ALOT, and no longer in it for Williams, Barnett may need to play DE. Maybe we should call Cory Thomas back and see what he thinks.

The tea leaves maybe suggesting that we already have our strongside DE with Hendrix. Surely we would have been in his top 7 or 8 if we were showing serious interest.

I just can't buy the thinking that Hendrix is in any way a silent with all the trips he is taking and especially setting up return trips to USC and others. The staff may be pushing for Hendrix, but he looks to be very much up in the air.

Just seems odd that A. Williams took so many UOVs to Knoxville and was seemingly high on us, and we are not even in his top group of 7 or 8 teams. May not have anything to do with Hendrix. I'm just starting to see the Butch Jones has been changing some of my line of thinking when it comes to recruiting.

My guess would be Williams is the back up plan for Hendrix should he not choose UT. I doubt it plays out that way as I don't see AW waiting around till NSD to decide. I doubt we could take both. He could be on the "best available" list, but I don't know we will have room for even (1) from that list. (Berrios, Williams, Jackson, Ruble, Thomas, etc).

I dont think numbers are near the issue some on the board make it out to be. As others have said there will probably be at least 9 or 10 guys who are currently not committed to Tennessee that sign come February. I dont see them turning down a guy they truly want at Corner or on the Dline.

Also, is McDowell a definite take? I thought I've read on some of the other sites that he's basically a plan B if they miss on a few others.

More names continue to pop up in terms of visitors for the Georgia game in a few weeks and one name that's come up for a visit is Georgia defensive lineman Andrew Williams.

Tennessee trails several schools for Williams right now, but some close to him are wanting Williams to give the Vols a closer look because of the availability of playing time along the defensive front next year at Tennessee for incoming freshmen.
