'14 GA ATH Myles Autry

I can understand some differing opinions on recruits and all that but I don't get how some of y'all can get so worked up about what someone else thinks to go full on nerd rage and fight with people on a message board.

Push that keyboard harder, huff and puff, yell at the screen, throw some caps in to get your point across. That'll show em brahs

:good!:This guy gets it.

So whats up with this kid???

Doubt we'll know anytime soon. He responded to a TK Jr tweet the other night and said it's "stupid" to commit early. (And no, I don't think he was using "stupid" in the 80's rap lingo sense of the word.)

I think the last 10 days or so have been awesome for the team but awful for message board junkies, myself included in that it set the bar impossibly high for the next few months. Tkjr, and Hurd are exceptions, most big time kids don't lock up this early. They like to take their visits and look around. And honestly I would rather them do that then commit without being 100% sure and decommit later ala Alexander. We just need to be patient as hard as that is.

It's stupid if u are a diva and don't want to help secure the best class possible.. Takes a mature kid that knows what he wants and doesn't like playing games to do what TKj is doing.

That's unfair and a little homerish ac. By that logic Autry should have already committed to the homestate team at Georgia since that's probably who he grew up liking like Kelly did with the vols. Just be patient. Most out of state kids need a lot more convincing than instate ones.

I agree with AC. Especially with a team like UT. A kick start was required.

I think he means, if you know where you're going, don't sit on it, get it done and recruit, especially if the program has been down and could use some momentum.

That's exactly what I'm saying.. If you're not sure, then don't do it.

It really just kinda aggravated me that he said "stupid" to TKj.. Lol

Great points. I've been checking here and on Twitter virtually nonstop trying to see who's the latest to commit. You're right... I'd rather know they're solid when the commit. I can be patient.

Croom is working diligently to convince former Norcross (Ga.) High School teammate Myles Autry to join him on The Hill. Although he has a brother, Anthony, playing football for Georgia Tech, Myles Autry's friendship with Croom could be the tipping point in his recruitment.

"That'll be a big factor," said Autry, who visited Tennessee's campus for Family Day last weekend.

"That's my boy," he said. "He's been recruiting me, kind of telling me how great Tennessee is. He and Ryan (mid-term freshman Ryan Jenkins of Marietta, Ga.) say it's a great place. At the end, that could be a big factor."

"If they've got my major, finance, and the possibility of me starting or getting playing time as a true freshman," he said. "And, at the end of the day, do I feel safe at this place? That's the big three that I really look for in schools."

"I like a lot of people. I really don't have no top schools right now. I feel like it's too early for it, so I'm taking it day by day."

"In this process," he said, "Tennessee is really good, and they could be at the top."

"Tennessee's a great place," he said. "Last year when my boy Jason was being recruited here, we came to watch Tennessee play South Carolina and had a great time. This is my first time to spend the night here in Knoxville, and I've been liking it."

After spending just a few seconds with Vol head man Butch Jones, Autry came away impressed.

"Practice was kind of intense," Autry said. "Everybody was moving. The players were hyped. The coaches were hyped."

"I met him for the first time and shook his hand," the prospect said. "He seemed like a pretty cool coach. I want to see this year if he's a good coach and can he change Tennessee's legacy."
