She is the parent of a player, it is a little different than being a fan. Butch has a different way of doing things, since it affects her directly, ofcourse it will take time to get used to. From her comments, she is warming up to the staff, and already liked Azzanni.

What some don't realize when they bash her, she forged a friendship with the last staff. She had a lot of contact with them and I'm sure felt comfortable. She hasn't had the time with the new staff like she did with the old.

I know this is how I would feel if I was in those shoes. If it directly affected my child, naturally I'd be more cautious in my approach.

MzT doesn't seem like one who just naturally trust, and as a parent, when they have your child, that trust is harder to get.

I really took her post as extremely positive.

I get that and agree with your post. It just seemed to me that she feels she can't support this staff without disrespecting the other. That isn't true. They have nothing to do with each other.

I think its just the human aspect of it. The last staff were friends to her, like a family. When something happens to someone close to you, its natural to be defensive. She caught heat for taking up for her friends.

It feels like I'm trying to speak for her, which I'm not, so I'm not gonna comment on it anymore. It's just my take on things.

Good post. Fwiw I supported DD and still think he did some good things here but that in know way effects how I feel about Jones.

I think you nailed it here....it will take time for her to warm to the new staff and I think this weekend was very positive. I always understood her defending the old staff and being hesitant of the new one, but I hope in the end she loves the new staff.

I hope all the visitors had a great weekend at UT. We are seeing good leadership from Coach Jones and the staff, with numerous players emerging also. I really like the emphasis on executing with precision and consistency.
