Already has offers from Michigan and ND. Claims other offers from UF, FSU, and Wisconsin (interesting to see if Azzani gets involved). Per the UA Combine report, Holmes made a big impression with his impressive workout times/stats.

Kid is a baller!!! I saw him play earlier this year against my friends kid at Miami Columbus. St.Thomas is a premier HS program year in and yr out down here and has lots of D-1 kids every year. K Michael Palardy former high school.

Palardy probably doesn't know the kid or could help in any sort of way though.

Saw where Butch Jones recently spoke with this kid. Lots of interest from big time programs.

Picked up a Miami offer at their Junior Day last month...

"I was so excited - I can't even describe the feeling," Holmes said."It's something I was waiting for since I got to St. Thomas."

"It's pretty wide open," he said. "I don't have a top or anything like that."

While at Junior Day, which was his first time on a college campus, he spoke with former teammate Jelani Hamilton.

"I'm real close with him," Holmes said. "He said it's a real great school, that everyone on campus appreciates what they're doing, that it's a great atmosphere, a great school to go to."

When will Holmes narrow things down?

"Not for a while," he said. "I'll take official visits and then make a decision from there."

Holmes finished his junior year with 28 receptions for 509 yard and five touchdowns.

This is the deepest talent pool there has ever been in Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties.

If Al Golden misses out on these South Floridians this recruiting cycle, UM may as well fire him.

not much at QB or OL but DL, CB and WR talent is insane next season. Every year you have guys that show up out of nowhere but the top talent is so deep this year SoFla could have 100 players rated 3* or better.

"This summer I am looking to get out to UCLA to visit them, I want to go to Tennessee and Vanderbilt, I hope to get back up to Notre Dame, and get to Oklahoma, and hopefully Florida and Florida state.

"I've known coach Z for a while because I was in contact with him when he was at Wisconsin before he moved over to Tennessee," Holmes said. "He began writing letters to me once he got there. I just heard from him a couple of days ago."

"He just reminds me all of the time how well I fit into their system," Holmes explained. "He reminds me that he wants to coach coachable receivers. He tells me he loves the way I play and he's been watching me for years and years and he'd love for me to be in receiving corp so he can develop me as a receiver."

With ND being our biggest threat for Malone (imo of course), I'm glad they have 2 4* wrs already.
