Wade Freebeck QB c/o 2014 Sophomore Highlights - YouTube
“It was exciting to get that first offer from Florida,” Freebeck said. “It came after the Friday Night Lights camp. My most recent offer was from Marshall. I am also hearing a lot from Arkansas, Tennessee, North Carolina and a few others. Right now I don’t have a leader and am just getting ready for spring ball.”

He played for Western the last 2 years before moving over to STA so he's stepping up to big time ball. Really didn't help O'Korn much but I believe Freeback is a better prospect.

UF was high on him early...one of the first QB offers out this cycle...he got his offer before Will Grier.

At 6'5 and a good frame to add size he is one signal caller to watch. After excelling at mediocre Western HS, St Thomas and a couple others felt he had what it takes to lead an elite team. Same as Gators and hopefully the Vols. Would like to see him in Knoxville.

Havent seen him measured at 6'5 anywhere. Dont think he is that tall but still has good height and needs to add weight.

Very true and Bray did but not his potential weight until money became involved.

What I find interesting, for lack of a better word, is that under our last S&C coach it seemed like everybody else did gain weight. SLOW weight.

He had the work ethic & study habits of a doctoral student though. One of the many, many differences between Bray & Manning...

Kid is legit 6'5. Watching him at STA, possibly get to 6'6 this year and pushing 200 now. Just finsished rehabing broken ankle so hasnt hit any camps/combines yet. Also, 5.1 GPA so smart and accrutate passer. Vols have 2 commit QBs for 2013 so not sure what they will be looking at in 2014.

Only taking 1 QB this cycle.

5.1 gpa? I've never heard of over a 4.4, and that was on a really weird scale.

Yeah I think in Blount County 4.5 is as high as you can go with weighted courses and AP. I had a 4.4 my senior year in high school and got kicked out of UT for grades my first go around. Once ladies and booze become involved, the GPA drops and the BAC rises.

not sure about other states but you get extra weight for AP and honor programs in Fla.

In Georgia you get 7 points added on for each honors/ap class as long as you pass. That being said, that means in order to have a 5.1 gpa you would have to have over a 100 in every class and higher than a 110 in at least one class. And every one of those classes would need to be honors/ap. not possible.

Here is an article from Tampa about class Valdictorian GPA in Fl. Can we put this to rest now,
This QB I believe has 5.1. The kid in this article has 8.+ GPA so with AP classes it is possible
TAMPA - Jennifer Yu is in a class all her own.

She is not only No. 1 academically among this year's 393 King High graduates, but she's outperformed all 11,227 of her peers in the county.

Yu, 17, who is enrolled in King's International Baccalaureate program, will graduate with an 8.509 grade point average.

Grade inflation is a joke nowadays. I've never heard above a 4.5 in high school here in California.

Its like now we dont even know who are the academically smart recruits. one 3.8 gpa is another ones 5 or 6, or what? the grade inflation is about as bad as the 40 yd dash exaggeration.
