'14 FL QB Sean White

Some elite company with almost 70% of all the elite 11 finalists never got drafted.

The whole Elite 11 is somewhat of a joke IMO. Dilfer tries to be a contrarian and show that he knows how to evaluate QBs better than college coaches. Woulard and White are good examples (they may turn out to be good QBs). There are numerous others.

All the big summer camps are a bit overblown IMO. Don't get me wrong if somebody has a good performance at the opening, elite 11, etc, and then follow it up with a good senior season I'm all for giving them a chance. However, a lot of these smear camps are a lot like spring practice in that you have players having these "breakout performances" only to never be heard from again. Which is why I'll never understand people jumping at taking players solely based off his performance at one of these.

I agree. The 7-on-7 format is misleading when evaluating talent. Throw on the pads, and things often change.

This. Diller says whatever will get him the most attention. I'd like to see one of his picks that college coaches hadn't already supported that actually panned out.

If you look at the last 5 years (04-08)Brantley is the only bust.

And that may only because he went to a system not friendly to pocket passers and we're starting to see now the dumpster fire environment Urban created.

Dumb decision for him to go to Florida, though, forget legacy in that case you need to do whats right for you.

How many qb's are drafted each year? I doubt 11. Probably 5-8.

If you want a true comparision of how well elite 11 qb's turn out, then look below:

2007 class notables:
EJ Manuel- 1st round
Sean Renfree-7th round
Andrew Luck- 1st round
Landry Jones-4th round
Mike Glennon-3rd round
Blaine Gabbert-1st round
Dayne Christ-7th round

2006 notables:
Tyrod Taylor-6th round
Ryan Mallet-3rd round

2005 notables:
Matthew Stafford-1st round
Jake Locker-1st round
Josh Freeman-1st round
Tim Tebow-1st round

The last 3 years and two very impressive jobs by the elite 11. The only exception being a poor class of qb's in 2006.

BCS championship QB'S:
2004 Matt Lienart (Matt Cassel backup)
2005 Vince Young...beat Lienart (Cassel backup)
2006 Chris Leak and Tim Tebow beat Troy Smith (backup Justin Zwick)
2007 backup Jarrett Lee
2008 Tim Tebow beat OK (backup Landry Jones)
2009 (backup Star Jackson) (backup Garrett Gilbert)
2010
2011 AJ McCarron beat (backup Jarrett Lee and Zach Mettenberger)
2012 AJ McCarron beats Everett Golson.

Those were all highly ranked by every recruiting service. We are saying that when e11 tries to deviate they aren't any good.

Imo id put woulard on future star watch. He played amazing in the e11

He had a weird recruitment, his offer list online and who his dad talked about never really added up to me. I don't have huge expectations for him in college, I hope he surprises me and surpasses my view of him.
