Sean White
Pro Style Quarterback

SIAP, didn't see a thread. He has been talked about on here recently though.

In an interview after The Opening he says he has recently been talking to some bigger name schools such as Auburn and Tennessee

He's a hot name now that some other QB's have committed elsewhere. I like McClendon better.

Oh not to mention he was ranked #1 in the country by the Elite 11 staff. I hope we get on him quick, no homo

If we can land White or another good QB, then great, but I believe other positions are more of a priority.

Still don't think we're out of the woods yet at LB, and I hope we land more OL, DL, and a pure lockdown CB or two.

Dilfer's comments, per ESPN:

"His accurate isn't just accurate. It's exact. It's an NFL type of ball. I'm stealing this from Steve Young, but he has an artistic ball. He paints a picture with his ball."

So should we offer this kid? I know he doesn't have prototypical size, and his arm strength is questionable, but he is fairly accurate. Wouldn't be a hard pull at this point with WVU being his highest offer. I know every coach usually wants one QB a year. But with the 4 we have on scholarship and two being three being Fr. I vote no fwiw with the number crunch we are starting to have and with the lineman need.

Could you imagine trying to paint a picture with your balls? That'd be pretty hard. Not sure anyone would buy it either.

Well, that's the difference between you and elite talent like Sean White.

Showing up for one camp does not make someone elite. He may end up that way, but everyone here is basing their opinion on one 7on7 camp.

7on7s are worthless to me when it comes to evaluating a QB. No pass rush gives them all the time and no pressure. Let's see how he does going forward.

I'm pretty much in your camp on this. You can measure accuracy and get an idea of arm strength but nothing matters more than what a QB does when he has pressure in his face.
