Was a teammate of current gator Dante Fowler in high school. Because of his height UF hadn't shown much interest until the last couple of weeks. He has a UF offer now. UGA had previously offered him as well. After getting the UF offer though he's tweeting about spending time/practicing with Fowler, his "future teammate". Could be trolling, but we'll see I guess.

Yeah his (lack of) height was the first thing I noticed.. I guess he's a baller tho if these schools are still all on him.

Another big man to watch is Lakewood (Fla.) High School offensive guard Isaiah Wynn. The four-star prospect was selected as the U.S. Army Offensive MVP at the U.S. Army Underclassmen Combine this winter and is being pursued by Tennessee offensive line coach Don Mahoney.
Wynn plans on making the trek to Knoxville over the summer and says that getting his official offer from Jones was a differentiating factor in his recruitment in comparison to other schools seeking his services, including Georgia, Auburn, Ole Miss and Florida.

“Things are going really well with Tennessee so far,” Wynn told InsideTennessee.com. “They have a great coaching staff over there and I am just getting to know them right now. I’m getting to know Coach Mahoney right now and we are still early in the process, but on first impression he is a good guy.

I think the best thing about Tennessee right now is just the coaching staff. They really make me feel comfortable and they have really impressed me so far. We just have to keep getting to know each other.”

“Tennessee and other schools being in the SEC is huge for me,” he said. “I wouldn’t play in any other conference. They have the best defensive linemen in the country and that will just help me getting better. More and more top draft picks are coming out of there too.”

“I actually found out about my offer from Tennessee from Coach Jones,” he said. “It is one thing to get your offer from a scout of an assistant coach, but to get my offer from the head coach was big for me. That was cool to hear from him.”

“I am really just a physical offensive lineman that plays with a nasty streak, but I am still trying to learn more and get my game better,” he said. “The biggest thing with me right now is just getting better with technique and learning.”

On which recruit has surprised the most this spring:

Jamie Newberg (South): To me, Isaiah Wynn (St. Petersburg, Fla./Lakewood) has emerged as one of the premier recruits in the state regardless of position. Around Signing Day he had two major offers - Vandy and USF. Now he has two dozen including Florida, FSU, Georgia, Nebraska, Auburn, Tennessee, etc. Wynn was the top linemen at the US Army Combne and was dominant at the Miami NFTC where he earned an Opening invite. He may not quite have as much upside as tackle K.C. McDermott or Trevor Darling but right now he arguably the best O-linemen in the state.
