'14 FL OL David Sharpe

Also a piece of info regarding JC and the Crystal Ball. He is the top predictor for Tennessee...100% when predicting recruits to Tennessee.

Not trying to rain on the parade or anything, but he got like 3 picks to FSU today as well. Schurburtt is the one with the legit info though, as always.

Damn...who'd a thought when Butch was hired we would have this kind of trouble recruiting. I mean our biggest concern is which recruits do we want to take. Good problem to have.

WRE3, Sharpe is a guy for whom significant discrepancies exist between rankings by major recruiting services. Specifically, Rivals has not yet done an update for him. On the other hand, 247sports.com has him rated 10th nationally, 2nd among offensive tackles (behind only Cameron Robinson) and 1st in the state of Florida (David Sharpe).

His offer list is very, very strong: Alabama, Clemson, Florida, FSU, Georgia, Nebraska, Ohio State and, most importantly, Tennessee.

By the way, can anyone who is familiar with his recruitment explain why Sharpe's ratings are all over the place? Did he not attend any high-profile camps? Did he largely fly under the recruiting radar screen until recently? Was he a late bloomer? Has he had a phenomenal senior season?

From what I understand, Sharpe has been more involved and loves basketball more than football. Only recently (in the past year or two) has he gotten big into the football scene, but since he has, he has been fairly dominant overall. At 6'6 and 280 pounds, he's got a great frame to tack on about 30 more pounds and be one of the elite o-linemen in the country. The ratings sites are all over the place because, although he has the size and potential to be great, he hasn't necessarily had the experience/playing time or exposure for certain people to consider him 'great' yet. Rivals says they need to see more, but 247 says they know how good this kid could and probably will be.

This kid is everything you want in a high school lineman.

Tools that can be developped.

Great feet, needs to learn vertical set a bit more, but his hands and feet are exceptional.

This would be massive.
