Makes perfect sense FSU leads and we are nowhere to be found, what with all the LB'ers we took last cycle and the limited numbers FSU has there.....smh
Why chase a recruit that is destined to be an academic casualty in an area of great need?
Maybe the UT coaches realized this AND the recruit has no interest in UT. Resources better spent elsewhere?
If its set in stone he won't make it in, then fine, but if there's a chance I sure wish we were in the race at least, jmo. Also, the bolded part is mainly my issue. How an elite player would have no interest in us is something I have a hard time grasping, especially at that position. Playing time, a great tradition and history at the position and guys like AJ and Curt who have had success lately early on in their careers at UT. Some of the reasons I thought we would pull Levenberry last year.
But I can be patient and I know things will work out as long as I'm wearing my orange colored glasses!![]()
Just like UF maybe UT isn't the place for some kids. Has nothing to do with playing time, history or tradition. Sometimes staff just know not to waste time on a player. Trust the coaches.
Committing to a position coach/coordinator is not a smart move, but to each his own.
I agree, to an extent.
Recruiting is all about relationships these days, though.
