Scout.com: Kain Daub Profile

Holds offers from Bama, LSU, Ark, AU, FL, FSU, the U, UNC, USC, and the (Vols per Scout).

He was committed to LSU but de-committed back in Nov '12.

He will be playing in the UA AA Game next year.

He's #60 in Rivals 250, two behind Dillion Bates #58. Both are from the J'Ville, FL area.

With that size, he'd be a very good candidate to replace Johnson in the middle.

He transferred from Nease HS (same HS as Tebow) to Sandalwood where Demarcus Walker (signed with FSU) played.

He was already committed to LSU and decommitted once he transferred. Pruitt who flipped Walker to FSU was the one recruiting him and most feel got him to decommitt. UA was at one time in great shape for him but with Pruitt at FSU along with Walker, my guess right now is he will be headed to FSU.

I wouldn't say "in the bag." I think we are his leader though.

And IMO, he wants to be surrounded by good LBs. Petera Wilson, Miclisse, and he has been talking up UT to Daub. Paul said Dillon won't announce until around the fall/allstar games so I'm excited to see how it all shakes out.

Agree with the FSU sentiment. This guy is a monster, he is/will be a 5*.

If we were even in the conversation I would be shocked, but THRILLED. This is the LB that I think will be the best when all said and done for final high school rankings.

Wouldnt lock him in to FSU just yet. This could be a 4-5 win year for the Noles.

I wish, but they're in the ACC...they'll win 7-8 at minimum. Plus their D is loaded with talent, albeit some of it inexperienced.

You underestimate the power of Sal Sunseri. He may not be the coordinator but he will find a way to mess up their defensive talent.

Yeah, he really messed things up for the panthers as a dline coach on that super bowl team, and really messed up those 2 alabama national championship teams.

While Florida State is an in-state contender, Daub said that whenever Alabama offers, a player "has to consider." He also said he's still not close to making a commitment, but hopes to prior to the start of his senior season. LSU is in his rearview mirror since not talking to anyone on the staff in a while.

ESPN says he's narrowed down search to two schools and will make decision in the summer. It's in Insider article. Anyone know the two schools?

“My top two right now are Florida State and Alabama and those are really the only two I am talking to,” Daub said. “I really do not see myself going anywhere else and I hope to make my decision within the next two months.”

There is also speculation he won't be able to qualify in the SEC.
