JMO, but here is my take:

Dillon wants to be a 5*. He is blowing up the camps and hitting the biggies to pump up the media to garner a 5* rating.

He knows that if he picks UT too early, he will max out at 4*. (See Hurd/Kelly threads right now.).

Once he is a solid 5*, then the gloves come off and the announcement is made. May still be an AA game, may not. Be patient,

He lives in Florida, and has visited UT on at least 3 occasions since CBJ became HC. His Dad gave a speech at the first Spring practice. Why would we not like our chances atp?

I don't think anyone knows yet. Could be wrong. But, for any big time recruit that attends our spring game, you can safely assume that we are in good shape or in the running considering the other top programs that have a spring game on the same day.

yeah especially any recruit were fighting bama for since theirs is also the 20th. so guys like bates, cornwell etc...

The talent we will have for the O&W game will be equal talent to Bamas spring game. We are going to have a lot of momentum going into that week. I am thinking we get 2 commits plus McDowell that day and Gaulden locked up before the O&W game

I'm of the opinion that Dillon is doing his due diligence. Maybe he picks UT, or maybe he doesn't. One thing I can promise you is that every school recruiting him would kill for the connections we have to those helping him make his decision. And the draw of being a legacy. It may not be a lock, but I wouldn't trade our position with any of the schools recruiting him.

Do you have a preliminary list of who is scheduled ot be here for the O&W game? I haven't really seen one yet.

Think there's good reason why your prediction is spot on. Sure hope so... would reestablish the great momentum we had a few weeks ago going into summer.

I don't. I just remember a lot of the recruits who said they were ciming back for that game. Its more of my opinion than anything that its gonna be as big but signu said he will make that list soon

Should be talent at many places that day. A program should really be able to gauge where they sit with recruits that day...PSU, Bama, UT, tOSU, Aubbie and ND. Of course Bama is getting showcased on ESPN. Bama and A&M are the only SEC teams who's game will be aired on ESPN this year. Other SEC teams are CSS and Fox Sports South. Guess it better than last year when Nike or Rivals had one of their main combines the same weekend in TT.

It's imperative that the staff lay heavy ground work this spring bc we are going to be at a distinct disadvantage with fewer OVs.

I just can't imagine Bill Bates son going anywhere but UT; but I'm sure Ole Miss fans said the same about Archie's first born.
