“I’m not sure where I’m going this spring,” he said. “I’m probably visiting Ohio State, LSU, and Tennessee this summer. I’m not sure who else yet. I’m trying to figure out when I’m going to visit Notre Dame.”

Per ESPN.

Wilson has racked up close to 30 offers, the latest coming from the University of Georgia on Wednesday.

So far the Hurricanes, despite being only 45 minutes away from Wilson’s school, are not an option for the talented junior even though his father played there [Father played CB for Miami].

“Yeah, I mean, Miami was like my favorite school growing up, and I mean, I watched the other sports but they were my favorite,” Wilson said. “Miami is not recruiting me at all.”

After the trip to Florida next week, Wilson has a long list of schools he wants to explore. He has no leaders at this time but plans to continue his research in an effort to whittle down his list.

“Other visits I have set up for the summer so far are LSU, Tennessee, Ohio State, South Carolina and Notre Dame, so it’s going to be a busy summer.”

Lol @ Miami. I hope they finally offer this kid but he says "Well, I don't have time to visit Miami. I've got real schools like Tennessee, Ohio State, and Notre Dame to visit. Sorry coach!"

It's sad to see top FL talent waste their time down there.

Yea that's pretty crazy to me, could you imagine us not even recruiting guys like Wharton, Kelly Jr etc haha

I mean the kid has 30 offers and his dad played for you, seriously, there's no room for him!? he can't even get a phone call?!

not really..Golden has a system. If a local kid doesn't camp or visit for JR day they don't get an offer. Took them almost a year to offer Mac Alexander and Greg Bryant.

He's making it seem like Miami isn't even talking to him. They won't talk to a kid unless he camps?

didn't recruit Stacy Coley until he made a midweek uov in early Nov. Everyone thought it would be FSU or UF most of last fall, but I guess getting Coley as OC was the bigger part of it but that didn't happen until after the season. Just bc QW is a legacy that doesn't mean he can just set back and think a staff will just recuit him. JMO

Come on HG, I get what you're saying, but they dont even check in on the kid or invite him to campus? Sounds like a crappy system to me. Not like the kid is a scrub.

It was the same story for the strong, physical Wilson. He's so strong at the line of scrimmage that he can jam pretty much any wide receiver he faces. He also plays the ball very well in the air, and capitalized on a couple of floaters for interceptions. The one downfall for Wilson is that when a smaller, quicker player does shed the jam, he has a tough time closing on well-thrown balls.
