“The atmosphere is good, the fan-base is outstanding, the coaches are outstanding. The facility is like one in a million. Coach Martinez and Coach Butch Jones, they know what they’re doing. I like it over there, it just feels like a place to be,” he said.

“I’m just trying to evaluate everything and whenever I feel comfortable, I’ll make a decision,” he said.

Top 5 of UT, Miami, Bama, Scar, UF

I am not sure really where UA stands with Lammons. From everything I have heard the staff likes him but he has yet to visit UA. The only in for UA right now is his cousin signed with UA last year so hopefully that will help to at least get him on campus. One thing though UT has really shot up the board for him and has become a major player for his services.

He basically said he likes Bama cuz they put people in the league in that same article. Didn't name a leader so not sure

How often does Alabama take a 5'9" CB? Doesn't seem to fit.

"I just think about everything as a family because if you're in Knoxville, everybody's family, everybody's close," said Lammons, who was making his first trip to Big Orange Country. "They're just going to take care of you.

"I didn't expect it to be like this. I knew it has a good history behind everything but as I go forward and look into everything and the National Championship, the legacy, Peyton Manning*and everybody who has been here, it just gives you a feeling like you can rebuild it back again."

"Coach was just telling me I have a chance to come in and play as a freshman," the country's No. 30 cornerback said. "He was saying you have to grow more mentally that physically, and I just like everything about him."

"That's something that I really want to do," he said of starting right away, "because I believe in my skills. Mentally, I believe that I can come in and help the team out a lot."

"The SEC intrigues me a lot," Lammons said. "I like everything about it."

"Just a good education program, which they have, somewhere I can build a family, and somewhere I can feel comfortable. Most importantly is feeling comfortable here because it's a long way from home, but if I feel comfortable, it's better."

"I'm just going to take some more unofficial visits and see how everything goes and approaches me. But, Tennessee is one of the top; I like them a lot."

"Most definitely I'm going to come back and catch a night game or something."

he's a take just based off of his amount of bench reps shown on Rivals.

He's top 3-4 cb on UF's board. After Tabor and probably Adoree.

I don't think UF's staff was pleased to learn he visited Knoxville.

They got mad that an uncommitted player who is 4th on their board visited another school??thats ridiculous.

I don't know if mad is the right word......but they were disappointed that Lammon's HS coaches took him up to UT instead of Gainesville.

Just like UT's coaches would be if a prospect in Nashville took a trip to Gainesville the same weekend UT was holding a camp. Nothing unusual really.

Might as well go ahead and commit!

Chris Lammons | CB | Plantation (Fla.)
The Skinny: Lammons is yet another elite cornerback prospect from Plantation High School in south Florida. The Gators look like the team to beat with Tennessee, South Carolina, Alabama and Miami all closely in the fold.
