'14 DE WR Neiko Creamer (UT commit 3/11/13)

Eating peanuts off dey heads. Or grabbing em to make peanut butter later
I thought surely this staff would try to leverage North, Croom and Harris' size, this year to do just that...eat peanuts...using that as our trump card, in big games. But for whatever reason, they haven't gone that route.

So, I'm going to quit getting excited about the size we have at WR...this class plus what we already have....when our coaches refuse to use it.

Paul Harris was a 4* with the speed and size combination you love to have. But I have to wonder if he's ever going to get to see the field much.

Let the receivers grow a little man. Talking about three freshmen and some QB woes.

I don't understand why people believe that every freshman will step on campus and be able to succeed immediately if if they get the time. Between getting in SEC shape, learning a new playbook, and overcoming talent and experience that's already on the roster, all while trying to stay healthy, isn't quite as easy as some try to make it seem.

Throw QB-WR chemistry in with our three starting QBs we've had this year and you've got a very unwelcoming situation for a freshman WR. North has thrived because he is a rarity, not the norm.

plus, college life is much different than high school. it takes time getting used to it. no momma to cook or clean for you can be tough! gotta develop new friends, get used to harder classes, stay out of trouble, etc. keep in mind that usually college is the first time kids ever live away from home. its a big deal in a person's life without even including the pressures and demands of playing big time football. change is tough for people in general. we, as fans, gotta remember these are 17-22 year old kids and they have many other challenges not even football related at this phase in their lives

I think this kid is severely underrated and will play great for us at some position. Freak of an athlete.

I get the sense he is kind of a forgotten man too. If his bloodlines are any indication he will make some noise somewhere. If he's going to do it at wr he better do it quick.. Will be alot of competition at that spot

All the more reason to be like Vereen and spend extra time getting better. Focuses the mind, other players are the best friends you can ask for, keeps you out of trouble and makes the pressures of playing well diminish as you improve your skills. Of course I am not an athlete and don't have to balance all of the things they have to.

I'd like to see Creamer and Croom used as a TE/WR hybrid that is becoming all the rage in the NFL. Jimmy Graham, Gronkowski, J. Finley, etc. NFL defenses are really, really struggling to handle them. Then let Hurd move up into that role a few times per game, as well.

For comparisons sake, anyone know Norths stats vs. Hunters and Da'ricks stats in their freshman campaign?

I don't know any exact numbers but North has Rogers beat in just about every category. He has more catches and yards than Hunter, however Hunter had more TD's

Thanks. Memory is slipping, who was tossing the ball to those two? Bray and Simms?

Is Creamer definitely projected as a wideout, or does the staff have him lined up somewhere else?

Also, why does it seem like no one is talking about this kid?

I'd guess bc he committed so early along with the fact nobody is really sure what position he'll play. I think he's one of our most underrated commits. Kid is a beast physically and whatever position he ends up playing (WR, TE, or maybe even on defense) I gotta feeling he'll be a solid player.

Hard to talk about a kid with almost zero film of him out there. I have no clue what we are getting out of him besides bleeding orange. Prob worst offer list of any commit we have.
