'14 DC DB Jalen Tabor

Overrated.

Love how Helms is man handling folks this wkd.

Tabor is not overrated. He has consistently been the Top-Rated DB at every competitive combine, camp, and 7-on-7 tournament this summer. Not to mention he holds an offer from every major college football program in the country.

Such a ridiculous statement. Just because he gave up one TD catch, doesn't make him overrated. These camps normally give the advantage to the offensive players & Helm is a severe size-mismatch for Tabor as it is.

Great play by Helm. But no need to take shots at Tabor. He will be a great college DB.

I'm totally against pandering to a kid that has seen all we have to offer and he still isn't sold. Good luck to him and move along because there are plenty of kids that are smart enough to recognize this is an elite program coming back at light speed, with the best facilities in the country including the biggest stage, in the best conference in the country...on and on. With a coaching staff that wins championships at every level thus far.

This^^^^yeah!!!

Exactly. That's why I don't understand that attitude simply because he hasn't committed yet or hasn't named us his leader. Let Butch work. With our recent lack of success there's no reason we should expect a kid as highly touted as Tabor to jump at us this early. Long way to Feb. But with or without Tabor, UT will be back...... Soon. Lol

It's tongue in cheek, sarcasm, like a jilted lover

Oh well, didn't want him anyway (j/k). Seriously though, here's our TE commit Helm making him look silly at the Rivals 100 challenge today. https://vine.co/v/bLQJVlpMllm

Before I saw the video from reading everyone post I was thrilled . But even though it was a great catch it would have been called back due too the push off on helm on the break because it gave him space to get open. Very good catch but far from making Tabor look silly

If Tabor doesn't think he can hang with the #1 ranked 2014 class then best of luck to him elsewhere.
Why best of luck to him? If he doesn't pick us I'm not hoping that he fails or quits football, but if he picks Florida or candy I hope we run around him with our speedy and quick receivers and moss him up with our big targets all day.

Despite his camp performance I would still like for him to commit to UT.. :dunno:

DB Jalen Tabor, Washington (D.C.) Friendship Collegiate Academy: It would have been nearly impossible to find a better late addition to the roster than Tabor. He made receivers work to get open, covering them like a blanket. On one occasion on Sunday Tabor slipped and allowed a long touchdown pass, but the only other passes that were completed against him were curl routes and quick slants. On the throws in front of him, Tabor showed the ability to drive on the ball with explosiveness. He tipped one pass that led to an interception and had many other pass break-ups over the weekend. - See more at: VolQuest.com - Five-Star Challenge: All-Challenge team

"They're in my top 8 right now," Tabor said in Chicago. "Coach Thigpen and I stay in constant contact and they're trying to rebuild something and they're in the mix."

Tabor gave a simple answer as to why the Vols seem to always be in consideration for Tabor's services.

"Tradition, it was my first offer, they've just always stuck around," he said. "D'Andre's always recruiting me. Todd Kelly, all of them, they are always recruiting me," Tabor said of his talk with Tennessee commitments. "They just tell me they want me to come there and build something special."

"You can be apart of something special and they are saying they are building a championship program," Tabor said.

“I learned about a week ago I will be able to graduate early,” he said. “It means I will be able to get ready to play (in college) sooner.”

“Definitely*Florida,*Maryland, Alabama*and*Vanderbilt,” said Tabor, the No. 5 cornerback in the class. “It’s just those four, but others can get involved.”
