'14 DC DB Jalen Tabor

Can anyone summarize the Rivals interview with Tabor that just posted for those who do not have a Rivals premium membership?

Rivals Richmond Camp

1. DB JALEN TABOR, WASHINGTON (D.C.) FRIENDSHIP COLLEGIATE ACADEMY
Tabor has been hitting the camp circuit hard to perfect his game, and he had his best showing at Saturday's camp. He broke on the ball with more explosiveness and showed his usual impressive ball skills by intercepting passes that would normally be knocked down by other defensive backs. Tabor displayed rare physicality when going against some of the bigger wide receivers, including Jamil Kamara and Demetrius Johnson. The defensive back with around 40 offers played well enough to earn an invitation to the Rivals Five-Star Challenge presented by Under Armour.

Put it like this: He is our Jimbo Fisher except he is 10x's the tool and in the same conference.

Outside Vol land nobody's paying attention. I live near Nashville and get to hear and see how much an unprofessional petulant prick this guy is. Plus, hasn't come close to beating a ranked opponent. Teams they beat last year won 34% of their games.

I live in Nashville and absolutely cant stand the guy.
But will admit he can coach, recruit and motivate. Vandy may have not yet beaten a ranked opponent at this point.

But the past 2 years they have had less talent than most everyone they beat in the SEC.

Having said that this year his team will be playing with more of 'his' players plus he has ticked off every other coach in the SEC at this point. It will be interesting to see if his act wears thin and starts to backfire.

Hey WKUDore, just wondering, how did Franklin attending Hurd's church turn out for the Vandy girls?

And congrats on the record crowd of 14,000! Must have been standing room only....

Franklin isn't going to be there for much longer. You can be sure that he has taken note of how much success Butch is having with recruiting without coaching a game at UT, a team that's had three straight losing seasons.

Meanwhile Franklin has done a commendable job at VU in two years but will still fall far short of what UT will recruit this year. That has to burn Franklin up.

He's gone the minute there's a better situation offered to him. At Vanderbilt, he can only depreciate.
