5-star ath adoree' jackson is close to a decision. Where is he heading? jackson closer to a decision ($)
Pretty funny stuff from some USC fans on the Rivals main board. They are positive that Tennessee is tampering with Adoree Jackson's recruitment by utilizing a pre-existing relationship between our basketball coaches and AJ's parents. Word from their end is that our coaches and his parents have been meeting up to "hang out" from time to time. Tenne$$ee and $EC, they say.
What they are saying is that our basketball staff contacted the family, after not talking in several years, and told them to come visit UT and they would pay. So we paid for them to come visit.
Technically that's a violation, but since the relationship is pre-existing, we think it's legal. Everyone else's coaching staff disagrees and are trying to get the NCAA involved

How does a pre-existing relationship let us pay money to his family to visit here? This sounds like a blatant violation regardless of whether it was the basketball or football coaching staff.
Sometimes friends will pay for airline tickets and hotels so their friends can come visit. Which is what is rumored to have happened on our end.
I don't think the NCAA can do anything, it's definitely shady though. But I certainly don't want the NCAA to decide to snoop around
