'14 CA CB Adoree' Jackson (Signed with USC)

I think Adorees aunt lives in SoCal. I'm not sure what the family situation is (I know that Adoree went to school out there because it was a better option for him academically and athletically). Hubbs said at the beginning of this kids recruitment the most important thing was identifying the key decision maker in the family. I think mom and dad---possibly dad have influence with Adoree. How big? Who knows. The fact that USC is late in the game trying to build relationships could be key.
Yeah, I don't know who is the major influence... If it's the parents that good for us.. Could be the the aunt.. Hell it could all be up to Adoree

Right and per Adam Gorney two nights ago...

"What I've been told is two factors are playing the biggest for him:

1. Relationships with coaches. He's got to trust the guys he's going to play for and that's a huge deal with Jackson, more so than most recruits. If someone comes off as phony, Jackson isn't going to buy it and probably won't go to that school.

2. This might be even bigger. I've been told Jackson's parents are definitely making it clear they'd prefer he be closer to home. This hurts USC some but I'm not sure how much because Sarkisian and his staff are going all out to get him and doing everything possible to convince the parents that he'd be well-treated if he stays in California."

Well-Treated=$$$$$ Ron, how does the aunt come into play here? Is Gorney a national Rivals guy? I wonder wherever this kid goes if he starts day 1 at CB/KR/WR.

I've not seen much about the aunt other than message board speculation. Gorney is the Rivals West Analyst.

I like the fact that USC is just now building a relationship with his family... And he mentions that he will use his last official as a way to "be more comfortable" with that school and then mentions USC, UCLA, and then Florida. Kinda reading the tea leaves tells you he's not fully comfortable with those 3 yet, but he will use the official to be more comfortable with 1 of them... It also tells you that he IS comfortable with his other finalists that he didn't mention. Being UT and LSU.

Something tells me he's most comfortable with UT and our staff, proximity to home, ect. I also get the vibe that UCLA is a dark horse here that no1 is talking about. Wouldn't be surprised to see him use his official there.

Just speculating out loud but it seems to me that if Adorees familiar with USC and Florida and UOV at both schools he could have shut it down MUCH earlier and already made that known. Why not just say "I'm a Trojan" and that's it. If anything he's got more influence being in USC's backyard. He's playing the game though. I like our chances.

SC has a new staff outside of OC and Tee Martin. AJ has spen more time with them trying to form a bond. Just a guess but part of the reason IF he takes it past NSD.
Whatever the reason(s) the SC feels really good about chances now vs a few weeks ago.

I agree for the most part, but he has already used his OV to UT, so he couldn't OV to UT next week regardless. Maybe that's why he wasn't including UT.

I think we have thoroughly exhausted the Aunt option....IMO it will be the parents influence in the end but the will leave the decision up to Adoree. IMO the exposure of an SEC school, facilities, this Class, Cam Sutton, the Bristol Game 2016 are factors looming in the back ground. Add to it, CBJ and the family atmosphere. The game he attended AU showed the passion fans can bring? Not sure did not attend the game because of emergency.

Kids with his skill set love challenges and want to be the difference makers on the field of play....

If we look at this we will easily see that TN is a perfect choice for him. USC he maybe lost in woodwork. UCLA is not in the SEC. LSU maybe a choice hard to argue but the have peaked under Miles. Fl equals Muschamp all he has to do is to see the bipolar personality and probably will not last the time of Adoree's enrollment if he chooses to do so.

Track....if he is good enough he will make it to the Olympics regardless of the school he attends...if his goal is the Olympics and not a track NCAA championship then it is a non factor....

Distance....In this day and age you can get anywhere at anytime...however the costs at the destination varies quit a bit....Gainesville vs Knoxville vs Baton Rouge vs Los Angeles..

Rapport....how tied in is he to the players on the teams....big question.

Predictions.....we aren't even on the 247 CB, however we are on his radar. None of the predictors will touch us but the fact that we are on AJ's radar looms big IMO.

If we Make the cut to 4 next week...or if he visits USC without parents then those are other factors to consider....

Vol football is on the rise and he is good enough to ride the wave. When you play in the best league against the best teams, immediate playing time is available and you are in on the ground floor of the resurrection, as an athlete you gravitate towards the situation.

APR scores academics and no major off field incidents maybe a factor in the decision making process.

Another factor is that AJ has not disconnected from us. Either out of respect courtesy or because we are still high on his list. I think we are 1 or 2 but this is just opinion...

It would almost be a bitter pill if he picked some school like UCLA or Oklahoma. Somewhere off the radar and completely out of left field. Like Tabor picking Arizona initially then flipping back to Florida. I won't start to get on a soapbox about the NSD media extravaganza but those kids almost get too much on the media coverage.

I agree.....the Ga game was Garrett....thanks for the correction. Auburn showed some things to him I am sure....ie playing time is available immediately. Sutton showed was his escort I believe.....

Wasn't that the first time he has mentioned UCLA in a while
