'14 CA CB Adoree' Jackson (Signed with USC)

Both terms basically mean that other's think we're being sneaky and may have a winning hand we're about to play at any moment.

When you're lying in the weeds you're basically slow-playing a good poker hand drawing others out to bet and waiting to lay a winning hand on them that they're not expecting it.

Great post. Thank you for am informative answer. :hi:

You get that rock painted this morning? lol

No. Other than williams everyone else dropped. We have thought about doing it this afternoon anyway but seems kind of silly to paint a rock for a bunch of kids that arent even here.

If ur interested in helping I will post the time on the thread if we do it anyway. Ertel is supposed to be off around 3pm.

Not a true VFL imo, jmo. :)

"I'm narrowing my choices down to four next week," Jackson said. "It'll probably be on Monday or Tuesday at the latest."

"I have one visit left," Jackson said. "The three schools I can choose from are USC, UCLA and Florida. If I do go on my last visit, I'll probably decide where I'm going on Thursday. It just depends on if I feel like I need to see a particular school and build some comfort with them."

On USC visit to Illinois...
"It was the first time they had ever seen my parents," Jackson said. "My family said that they said they appreciated them coming down to talk to them. They're going to keep in contact with them, try to build a relationship and go from there."

"I'm still kind of confused but I have ideas of where I want to go," Jackson said. "That's why I have a top six." "I think I'm still going to do it on signing day but if not, I'll just call them up during the middle of the week and let them know," Jackson said. "If I feel like I'm not ready or 100% sure of my choice, I'll wait until signing day."

So last week was the first time the new USC staff had met AJ's parents? I'm liking our chances more and more.

Telling! Makes me think or believe USC has the opinion they are behind in the bid for AJ. Somehow USC has the opinion or feeling parents have a large vote. Parents influence has been mentioned before but USC might feel they are falling behind without a face to face with mom/pop.

Lol... They just got a new staff right? And his folks don't live in California...

Wrong... Tee Martin is his recruiter and was with the previous staff as we all know. Its not like he has an entire new recruiter.. If Tee has not reached out to his parents maybe he was the one who is getting the aunt on board since she is local..

I think him coming to TN makes the most sense. Justin Hunter was also a Long Jumper and Jumped 25 feet. He did well juggling Football and track at his time at UT..

I think Adorees aunt lives in SoCal. I'm not sure what the family situation is (I know that Adoree went to school out there because it was a better option for him academically and athletically). Hubbs said at the beginning of this kids recruitment the most important thing was identifying the key decision maker in the family. I think mom and dad---possibly dad have influence with Adoree. How big? Who knows. The fact that USC is late in the game trying to build relationships could be key.

What are you talking about?

Right and per Adam Gorney two nights ago...

"What I've been told is two factors are playing the biggest for him:

1. Relationships with coaches. He's got to trust the guys he's going to play for and that's a huge deal with Jackson, more so than most recruits. If someone comes off as phony, Jackson isn't going to buy it and probably won't go to that school.

2. This might be even bigger. I've been told Jackson's parents are definitely making it clear they'd prefer he be closer to home. This hurts USC some but I'm not sure how much because Sarkisian and his staff are going all out to get him and doing everything possible to convince the parents that he'd be well-treated if he stays in California."
