'14 CA CB Adoree' Jackson (Signed with USC)

I think they're 3rd at best. I think AJ really likes their track team and if Muschamp wasn't a lame duck coach there's a good chance he'd be going to there. But with family, proximity to home and trust of the staff the main factors (per Adam Gorney last night) I just think UF's on the outside looking in. AJ has family in LA and his parents prefer UT, I think he signs with one of those two schools. Anything can happen, that's just my opinion.

It's all good, Just wondering

USC is recruiting through both, however, USC is the only school that has included her into the recruitment.

Tennessee has been focusing on building a relationship with Adoree and his family, and we have done a hell of a job.

His relationship is strongest with Florida, but he has concerns about Muschamp surviving the year.

Adoree likes the glamorous life, and he's getting that in California. That's the worry, he has women, beaches, travel, and family. All right there.

It's always been a longshot for us to get him, but, we have set ourselves up well. And even if we lose, we've gotten attention for being this close.

The coaches have done an amazing job, and I'm sure some people will bash them for not closing if he goes somewhere else, and they shouldn't. In all honesty, we shouldn't even be in this kids recruitment conversation. But here we sit, with less than 2 weeks till signing day, with a punchers chance

Win or lose, this recruitment is giving us a glimpse into the future of what is going to happen on the recruiting trail when we start getting some wins on the field. That in and of itself deserves a boom!

If track really is as important to him as some believe doesn't lsu and uf have much better track programs right now than the other finalist? Thought I've read he's got the best relationship with uf's track coach too but CWM's uncertainty with football is my guess why they may be slipping. Les Miles is stable at lsu with a good track program, but they seem to be slipping too. Maybe track isn't quite as high on his check list after all. It'll still be a pretty big factor into his decision. Question is, how big?

How's usc's track program? Some of his friends/teammates going to usc is a bit of a concern to me too. I know he seems to prefer the sec, but with him spending the last 3 years out there I can't help but wonder if the west coast is starting to feel more and more like home to him instead of Illinois.

I think it's gonna come down to UT and usc. Does he stay out west where he's maybe starting to feel like it's more home to him and where his friends are or does he come back east to where his parents seem to want him at UT where they could be in driving distance to watch his games and he knows he'd be treated like a king around campus and among fans. Plus, although he hasn't lived in the TN area the last 3 years, he does have good friendships with several of our commits and he did say he really got the family feel at UT.

Idk how our track program compares to usc's, but as far as football, Surely he feels way more comfortable around our coaches. Plus we're going into year 2 with Butch so he can talk to current players about what it's like overall playing for Butch. He can't ask usc players a whole lot about what it's like under Sark.

We're obviously rebuilding, but the chance to play from day 1 combined with the overall amount of talented guys in our class and the direction he sees Butch has us headed makes me hope that may kinda even things out when it comes to his friends going to usc. Also, usc is still trying to recover from sanctions so it's not like their football program is leaps and bounds on better ground than ours right now. Yes, they're in better shape talent-wise even with reduced scholly's but we'll take a huge step forward with this current class and likely 15 too. We're trending up with more and more recruits across the entire nation too.

I could see him going either way, but I think we have more positives going for us overall right now. Other than him being out there for 3 years and some of his friends going to usc what other advantages do they have? Hot chicks? We've got plenty of fine arse women at UT too. How many championships has Sark won as HC? Sark-0, Butch-4! I'm not sure why I'm even doubting Butch, Thig & Co at all. Screw it, I'm all in. Adoree is VFL! Sark ain't got shat on Butch. Nothing.

If truly between ut and usc then the question is does he want to be hyped or be the best. Usc players get tons of hype and pub but fall short in the NFL. Manning, Berry, Mayo, Foster, CP, Whitten all chose a place where they could learn to be the best. Make the right choice young man.

I was expecting JClawyer to chime in, but maybe he's working on a Friday afternoon...

In any event, I'm a lawyer, licensed in TN and FL. See my previous post re: guardianships.

None of those players have anything to do with any of the current coaches.

Meh. I'd say that's a push. USC has some great players in the league, and UT has plenty that didn't play to their draft position either.

Remove the CCM connection and we have no business being in this recruitment to begin with. That makes me believe that Butch could pull anybody he wanted to after he starts winning 9 to 10 games a year. Heck he's doing that now after a bowl-less season.

If a court appoints a guardian for a child then that person is the child's legal guardian to the exclusion of anyone else, including the parent(s).

Most guardian ad litems are appointed for cases of suspected abuse and serve solely the interests of the child. I seriously doubt this is the case here.

UT or USC IMO. I like our chances considering were the only SEC school at top and have the parents vote. He has liked UF for a long time and would have committed if he wasnt considering his families decision. IMO that tells me all I need to know.
