'14 CA CB Adoree' Jackson (Signed with USC)

I tried to post earlier from mobile but it wouldn't work. I'm not any less optimistic about our situation with Adoree, but I don't want to seem like I'm pumping sunshine. We like where we're at with Adoree, and we will be there till NSD. If he picks Florida, good luck to him, we have too many weapons coming in at WR and I like our guys vs theirs (as long as someone can get our WRs the dang ball). However, my "gut".. (wink wink) tells me his family want him at UT, and that's a battle that no one has won yet. I like where we're at until further notice. G'night.

Omg.. The hammer winked! Vol!

Honestly I'm not to worried about any recruit who would choose UF over us right now (or any SEC school outside of Vandy or MSU).

Anyone with a set of eyes knows that Muschamp has absolutely no future as a head coach and if they would have bothered watching UF play last season they would know that. No magic coordinator hire will cure the Gators problems either.

If not for him beating UT (only because our coaches and system was totally new) he would have been fired at the end of last year. That would have been the proverbial straw that broke the gators back.

If this guy goes to UF then I have serious concerns about where his head is at. I don't mean to be hard on the kid but he's got to be able to see past the fluff. Lots kids rated higher than him have fell victim to the coaching turn over monster.

If I had a kid who was a highly rated college athlete one of the first things I would show him is a self made list of highly rated prospects who made poor choices and ended up tanking their careers.

Alvin Kamara thought he would somehow get in the 2 or 3 deep at running back as a true freshman...at Alabama. Never underestimate the hubris of some of these kids. To your point though, hopefully Adoree knows better.

How much stock do you put into him considering this a "business decision"? In my mind, I'm thinking football over track, and the better coaching staff is at UT. Jones had the #1 draft pick last year and I think that matters. I hope.

Very logical, here's to hoping that you are correct!

But my question was how much stock do you put in to him thinking this is a "business decision"?

I wouldn't put much stock into anything he says at this point. He's going to pluck every heart-string of every fan base until he signs. Why, because we're sitting here on a Saturday night talking about a phrase that he said. Enjoy your night folks, long ways to go here.

People rarely read.

You're both right. I'm having a good evening. I'm gonna choose to believe (for tonight) he thinks Tennessee is the best choice for him.

Mostly because it's a chance for us to "win" and I don't want some other team to "win". :)

As I said, I won't take Adoree's interest in UF seriously until he takes an OV. However, if UF is in the picture and you are correct about his Mother favoring UT, it should be an interesting contest for his LOI. Meyer was great with the Mothers but not Muschamp. However, Muschamp is good with the recruits and in more than one case has persuaded a recruit to come to UF against his Mother's wishes. Robinson, of course, comes to mind. But there have been two or three more. I think Fowler may have been one.

Meyers may be good with momma, until she watched Ohio State on TV and sees their star kid getting destroyed and limping while Urban totally ignores it.. Being a mom, I don't care how many times my kid says they are okay; I want the coach to care more about my child then a football game. I would trust Butch who actually proves to care about these kids on and off the field, and not just talking crap...
