How the Gator chomp appeals to anyone is beyond me. Perhaps the most annoying (and ridiculous) fan action this side of the (racist) Seminole chant and the ultra-absurd NC State "wolfie" hand sign. All are just stupid as hell.

The Gator chomp and Rammer Jammer are just so easy to mock. Unfortunately, we haven't able to mock either in years. I still enjoy seeing them get turned around on UF and Bama by other fans though.

I distinctly remember the Minnesota band playing Rocky Top after beating the bammer trash in the MCB several years ago. Absolutely loved it and adopted the Gophers as my Big 10 team to pull for.

I tried to post earlier from mobile but it wouldn't work. I'm not any less optimistic about our situation with Adoree, but I don't want to seem like I'm pumping sunshine. We like where we're at with Adoree, and we will be there till NSD. If he picks Florida, good luck to him, we have too many weapons coming in at WR and I like our guys vs theirs (as long as someone can get our WRs the dang ball). However, my "gut".. (wink wink) tells me his family want him at UT, and that's a battle that no one has won yet. I like where we're at until further notice. G'night.

I read an article somewhere that rocky top is played on average like 50 times a game. I think the article was about Florida. It was talking about how much they hated it because it's so catchy they can't help but sing along or something of that nature. I found it quite funny. I could listen to rocky top all day long because I love the orange, but I could see how it could grind on a rival fans nerves which it's actually supposed to IMO. It really helps give us home field in Knox.

UF fans haven't succumbed to the effects of "Kiffin Dooley induced battered wife syndrome" or the somewhat related albeit slightly different "emo kids & adults are really just sunshine pumpers who feign cynicism for negavol cred and because they think it's amusing to give us false hope and enjoy the lulz of conning naive UT fans who believe but have no clue about anything syndrome" the way many Vol fans have.

Gators are still positive when it comes to recruiting. Partly since they believe in themselves and partly being right is 50-50 and will ultimately produce a wonderful melt even among those Vol fans who suffer the aforementioned syndromes.

IOW, we're a messed up bunch and this kind of batten down the hatches and assume we're not getting him swing is a method of taking steps to prevent heartache should Adoree choose another school. As much as we say "Butch gets it" and praise the recruiting job we've seen some of us are still deeply damaged.

Personally, I still think we've got as good a shot as we did when this started. Vol fans have a case of the nerves because we're used to quick booms when Jones is recruiting and because we still doubt whether we have a chance at any elite prospect no matter how often we've seen Jones succeed in recruiting or how much we claim otherwise.

JMO. :)

If they hate Rocky Top, I can't imagine their feeling on FSUs war chant. They do it after. Every. Damn. Play. It's one of the dumbest things to see in person. Cool at first but then you realize that they do it just to do it. Even if it's a negative play for FSU.
