'14 CA CB Adoree' Jackson (Signed with USC)

So who is this Gorney guy again? Did anyone know anything about him before that post yesterday?. He said he was told the biggest factor will be distance distance from home but somehow fails to mention LSU being closer to home than Florida? Was that not a big red flag to anyone else? I know his "source" has USC, Tenn, and UF but it kind of raised my eyebrow. My guess is this guy know...yep you guessed it....

Literally nothing.

Always question your source :)

I think Fort said pretty much the same thing, didn't he?

Jones then traveled to the St. Louis area, where he joined the Vols’ entire defensive staff, wide receivers coach Zach Azzanni and two of UT’s track and field coaches for their in-home visit Thursday night with five-star cornerback Adoree’ Jackson and his family in his hometown of Belleville, Ill. Tennessee was the last of three teams to visit Thursday with Jackson and his family, who also received visits from Southern California and Florida before meeting with the Vols’ coaches. All three schools sent their head coaches for the in-home visits, which gave them an opportunity to sit down with Jackson and his parents at the same time before he returns to the West Coast to resume his classes at Junipero Serra High School in Gardena, Calif.

Jackson’s visit with Tennessee lasted until late Thursday night, and while he couldn’t be reached for comment afterward, he posted on his Twitter account that his in-home visits “with the head coaches went great.” If nothing else, some believe the three teams that met with Jackson and his family Thursday could be an indication of where things stand in his recruitment. Florida and USC have been widely viewed for months as two of the front-runners for the 5-foot-9.5, 182-pound Jackson, who’s ranked the nation’s No. 8 overall prospect in the industry-generated 247Sports Composite. And it’s starting to appear that Tennessee also might be among his group of favorites with less than three weeks remaining until National Signing Day on Feb. 5. LSU, Oklahoma and UCLA also were included in the top six Jackson released earlier this month, but it’s now possible that the head coaches from all three teams will be forced to meet separately with Jackson and his family now that he’s expected to return to California on Friday

Jackson has managed to avoid tipping his hand throughout the recruiting process, leaving many to guess which schools might be at the top of his list, and that hasn’t changed heading into the final weeks of his recruitment. There doesn’t seem to be any clear consensus on where Tennessee stands with Jackson right now, so it might be premature to refer to Florida, USC and the Vols as the three teams to beat. Still, UT appears to be more of a contender for Jackson than many outside the state of Tennessee might believe, and his family’s relative proximity to Knoxville undoubtedly is one of the factors working in the Vols’ favor.

No real insight. More of the same.

The word is....

1. He is a gator

2. Tennessee isn't really that much in the picture compared to some of the other suitors.

1. You might be correct, none of us really know for sure.

2. I think you are wrong and would be kidding yourself if you believe this.

I doubt that. I don't think nearly as many on here think Adoree is a Vol Lock.

Does anyone think he's a Vol lock? I doubt it. None of his finalists should think he's a lock.

I don't really see the comparison with Bell at all, other than them being 5 stars and announcing on NSD.

IMO, Adoree isn't a lock for any team right now. He probably doesn't have a clue as to whom he will choose. I would say he does like UT a lot but he likes the other schools a lot too. That being said, it sounds like we helped our cause tremendously with the in-home.

Can we all agree it seems to be a UT UF race for AJs services. Bright side..at least no mater what we'll be seeing him for 3-4 years.

I don't think we can totally discount USC and I have no desire to see him for 3 years if he picks UF. If he goes to UF, I hope he becomes an Olympic champion long jumper and quits football.

While I would like to see Adore commit to Tennessee it's not a make or break thing.
I'm just ecstatic we have the class we have thus far. Butch Jones has done an outstanding job recruiting.
At this point I want Evans and Scott more than Adore.
His commitment would just be icing on the cake.

Comparing recruiting threads takes perspective, haha. It would be foolish to consider anyone a lock...or any finalist out of it for now.

I have to respectfully disagree. There is no player left on our board that could make a bigger impact over 3-4 year career than Jackson. He is a game changer and could step in immediately and make this team better.

I agree. My take is that outside the state of Tennessee, national analysts don't give us very much of a chance at all. Looking at his recruitment objectively, I can see why.

CBJ is doing an amazing job to keep us in this one and make it interesting. It will be a complete coup if we snag him. If we lose him, it's (almost) easy to understand.

Bell was different. Elite talent, life-long Vol fan (supposedly) grew up reasonably close to campus. ...Recruitment completely blown by Dooley.

Florida insiders and recruits are saying they got some extremely good news yesterday, and have been quoting the song "I'm sorry Ms. Jackson" I don't know if it's in relation to this, but Quincy Wilson keeps saying "I told you he was coming, Dream Team"
