'14 CA CB Adoree' Jackson (Signed with USC)

Anyone else enjoying watching florida fall apart!

I got no real hard feelings towards them, in general. Didn't care for Myers too much and muschamp needs to stop yelling, but other than it kind of fun watching the Florida schools battle it out.

Schools are making deals with the devil... for short term profit that is the problem.

Could you expand on that......not sure I fully understand what you're trying to say?

Instead looking a the character of the coach, schools are looking a victories ie $$$$$$.

This is not just a Florida issue. You have Georgia fans that wanted to get rid of Richt for years, why? Because he hasn't won the big game.... yet everything they ignore everything good he has done. It's not so easy to win every game. imho

Obviously i dislike UGA fans for the most part, but they have some legitimate concerns when it comes to Richt.

Besides not winning the big game, UGA has lost the top recruits in a loaded state for the past 7 years with the only exception being the "legend" class. UGA's best players have been from out of state actually. Murray, Marshall, Gurley, Marlon Brown, Stafford, AJ Green, Moreno etc..... On that front UGA is doing well, but it's pretty sad what UGA has been doing in state with evaluations, and lack of effort.

Richt is a good guy, that we all know but whatever he is doing or not doing with the type of kids he is recruiting is not working. UGA has been involved in more arrests and criminal type activity than anyone in the SEC by a large margin over the past 10 years, sans the Meyer era. Meyer has criminals in his programs running around all the time and does not care, he just wants to win. Richt on the other hand suspends and attempts to discipline his team, but it isn't working and its become a pattern year after year of big time UGA guys getting into a lot of trouble off the field.

I've already mentioned it, but i still can't get my head around how UGA loses all of its states best players to Bama, Auburn, UT, USCe, FSU and UF consistently. Year after year the top 20 kids in GA are plucked by out of state schools. Luckily GA is such a loaded state that UGA is still able to put a lot of talent on the field with only landed 5 out of the top 20 and a bunch from the next tier in GA. UGA recruits well out of state which has saved Richt's ass.

UGA has done more with less than any program not named Phil Fulmer. As a UT fan i can see the same sort of problems. Both were good men, both were well liked by everyone that knew them, both could close on recruits when they felt like recruiting, both had boatloads of talent that underachieved in college consistently, both had a lot of guys getting into trouble year after year, both had good records year after year but had a ton of head scratcher losses and never won the big games.

I think its a terrible idea to fire a "good" coach without having a better coach ready to sign the papers, but UGA has had years to see the writing on the wall. Surely some big name by now would have been interested in coming to UGA i would think. I think its unwise to have a kneejerk reaction after a bad season and fire a good coach that had an offyear or injuries etc....but its a good idea to evaluate each year and i would have come to the conclusion awhile ago that Richt is not the guy to bring home a championship.

TN did that (kiffin) and look where that got us. We are just now finally starting to get back on track

I agree with the first paragraph chandler bing. I remember watching a 30 for 30 on Miami when they were on top. They drew a line at Orlando and only recruited players from there down unless a player somewhere else had interest.

Dooley tried something similar with the 500 mile radius, but it's way easier to say than to do. But it's not the talent that keeps UGA from winning the big one.

I mean it's not a simple issue, I fully understand that, but UGA could do much worse than Richt. My take is, be careful what you wish for you might just get it like volgirl99's post hints at ie Lamo.

When LSU signed Les to the last extension, the AD basically said Les has LSU in contention virtually every year and they are fine with him as long as it stays that way. No pressure to win a championship every year because that is just insane.

I agree for the most part but the difference is that Miles has won a National Title, Richt hasn't. Plus, in the last 4 years Miles has won at least 10 games in all 4. Richt has only done that twice and the other two he won 6 and 8. Sure, UGA could do worse than Richt but I also think they could do much better.

Miles better watch out though the situation seems alot like fulmer and Brown. Both won Titles and less than 10 year later after 2 questionable seasons they were both let go.

I am more impressed with what Spurrier has done at South Carolina than Saban at Bama. Winning 11 games at South friggin' Carolina for three years in a row as competitive as this league is.....well....crazy.

LSU-SIU, you are too nice. Richt is an under-achiever, Muschamp has more problems than just his volume, etc. I do appreciate your views though... refreshing to say the least.

I agree in a way but Miles surrounds himself with coordinators and assistants that make him succeed. Imagine UGA if Chavis was DC there.

From what I've read on other forums and heard on sports radio Adoree will prob. end up at USC, with a long shot of LSU or Florida. They don't see us in the mix for him any longer.

At least he is not a douche and has not destroyed the program like so many others.... that is my point. It's very hard to stay at or near the top for long-term.

The two coaches I respect in the SEC the most are Richt and Miles, Steve Spurrier is moving up as well.

If you are into wins v. losses then you make a deal with the devil or in the case of one SEC team... Satan.

It's all choices.... be careful what you wish for. You better think real hard of getting rid of coaches that win 8-11 games over the long-term.

I respect your opinion as well, there is no one right answer.

Spurrier has done a great job.

Central florida and Clemson we two very tough OOC games which makes his 11 wins this year even more impression.

I don't think he has outdone Saban but its close

Some coaches go out and get the very best assistants. Others feel threatened by hiring top-notch assistants and are too loyal to the coaches they do hire. We've seen both approaches at UT.

Experts don't know much. Heck, experts were picking LSU to get 5 for 5 yesterday. :p

Tony Brown kept saying track was an important factor than signs with Bama. Haha. So, you really can't believe anyone, let alone a so called expert.

Does UT have a shot? Absolutely. UT just needs to get in his ear and make him feel good about the decision.

Hopefully, Adoree is using the same smokescreen tactic with track as Brown was. :)
