'14 CA CB Adoree' Jackson (Signed with USC)

Someone asked why does Adoree live in Cali and his parents live in Illinois? I always wondered this as well and not sure it's ever been posted in here.

Tuition there is high as hades. I hope he received a scholarship, since he was recruited for both track and football.

I'm an LSU fan and I just want to set the record straight. We WANT Adoree. We don't need him, but we want him and I don't understand any LSU fan (or fan of any school) who would not want him.

Sure, he's not tall, but plenty of DBs have succeeded. Tyrann Mathieu wasn't tall, Fred Smoot wasn't tall, Darrell Green (HOF NFL player) was the same height or shorter than Adoree.

Sure, he isn't big and shies away from contact. But, you can make a guy bigger and stronger. You can't necessarily make them faster and more agile. His athletic ability jumps off the page. IF he doesn't work out at CB (I think he does), then you have at worst, a Deanthony Thomas to put on offense.

So, despite what LSU-SIU says, we WANT Adoree. However, with some of the other DBs on hand, we don't need him as bad as you guys do.

Those crystal balls on 247 are pretty good and we aint looking too good there.
Think if any staff can turn the tide this one can

Good honest post imho, thanks ,,,, Yes, we need him more than LSU, but I would rather see him go there and play for Chief than going to Fla ...

Of Course I WANT HIM HERE :)

Agree. We need him much more.:good!:

To answer your question Bruin, Knoxville is about 3 hours closer than Baton Rouge. Probably not too significant in the decision making.

Not a huge difference I agree but looks less than 3hr difference to me. Only 80 miles further to Baton Rouge than Knoxville

I actually thought his parents were from Chicago, so its disappointing to see he is really from the Lou. Makes sense with him apparently being good friends with Hendrix though.

Belleville I thought, which is right across from St. Louis. It's about 9 hours or so drive... easy drive.

I hope butch lands this kid. But from VQ's recent update, it sounds like Adoree's gonna Josh Smith it and slip through our fingers.

My dad's from there. Graduated from SIU by the way.

Belleville/Swansea/Shiloh is nice... East St. Louis can be kind of rough. Crazy how much that area has grown over by Fairview Heights... I didn't even recognize much of the stuff the last time I went.

Saw the picture. Nicely done. Where did you take him?

Maury county.

I certainly have the big head after calling my shot ealier in the day. Lucky day! The part I haven't told is I was nearly certain I missed and came within an eye lash of not finding him. I was within an instance of giving up looking

Dad was actually born in EStL, but that was in 42. My great great grandfather owned some taverns there and built one of the first brick homes on Kansas Ave.
