'14 CA CB Adoree' Jackson (Signed with USC)

Just saw an espn interview with Jackson. He says USC wants him as a WR. I think he's a CB at UT. Does anyone know or heard anything about whether he prefers WR or CB? I'll hang up and listen....

I've read before that he wants a shot a WR. And with our DB class, I think we'd set him up in the slot first and foremost. Get the ball in his hands as much as possible.

Most schools want him at CB, he wants to play both sides of the ball and UT is offering that.

That would be awesome. I'd love to see him opposite Sutton and then drop him into some offensive packages as well.

He's being compared to Charles Woodson and Champ Bailey. UT has some absolute studs in this class but Jackson would be the best of them all. His comments after his visit awhile back show that UT can pull it off.

Most of them will be freshmen. But if they can all be Cam Sutton's and have immediate impacts, we could have a decent shot.

I really like this crop of JUCOs - they all make sense thus far and seem like they could come in and be immediate upgrades at key positions.

We have two incredible talents from last year's class - North & Sutton. This year I think we could easliy have half a dozen of these freshmen come in and be impact players right away the way North and & Sutton were:

Hurd
Malone
Kelly
Helm
Gaulden
Mouhon
Bates
Wharton
Hendrix
E Berry
E Berry
Wolf

I think with the Hype UT is getting right now and the momentum going into this month with Malone, we have a better shot than some think. the fact that Malone is tweeting him that kind of stuff makes you think they have had more than one conversation recently....

Not likely with so many freshmen and new OL and DL. A lot depends on other teams in the division. Mizzou, GA, SC and FL will all have new QBs, so that probably helps. But we have to play Bama and most of the others do not.

Our defense will be faster, but more inexperienced. We will have more quality depth. Good QB competition. Losing Palardy is big, but Maggitt stays and could get AJ back. Players will have an extra year to become familiar with Butch's offense and defense and half the new class will be EEs.

So, we could have a shot at the East, but would need some luck and help to win it. JMO.
