'14 CA CB Adoree' Jackson (Signed with USC)

Look, he's a 6'6 260-pound man. Either he can hang with the big boys now or he likely never will. I seem to recall very similar measurables belonging to one Robert Gronkowski, so physically there's no excuse for him not to be contributing right now. The whole point of bringing in JUCO guys is so that they can help immediately. They aren't supposed to need development.

Gronk.. I mean, REALLY? Not trying to be a Richard, but Gronk is a monster of a tight end (obligatory no homo).

Well, he may be 6'6, but if he's 260 he's hiding it. He was at the same apartment in Vol Hall with me a week ago and although he looked like a big boy, he didn't look like much of a ball player. Comparing him to the Gronk is just wrong.. there is no comparison there other than height. He seemed like a cool guy, but everyone says he's "soft." I don't blame him, but it won't get him anywhere in this conference. Football is just a different animal in the south.

For the record, I was in no way comparing his playing ability to that of the Gronkster. One is a superstar NFL TE and the other was getting abused by an FCS DE last time he saw the field. I think you understood what I was getting at, though. All I was saying is that physically, WQ should be more than ready to contribute immediately.

Rivals had him at 260 during his recruitment. His official UT bio pegs him at 253. Either way, he's a big boy.

Yeah I agree, but one shows it a hell of a lot better than the other. Like I said, if you were to tell me that this guy could play tight end in the SEC I would have laughed at you. Again, not saying that he isn't a "big guy," just saying I can see why he would get knocked around.

Adoree has been on UT campus more than any of those schools (twice with fam I believe) + a legit chance to be a day one starter? I think you give us less credit than we deserve.

I think we have a legit shot. LSU seems to be a factor----everyone wants to say USC but I still feel like distance from home is a factor i.e. closer to Illinois.

What's the latest?

"Tennessee is very much in it. They are battling with the other schools in Adoree's top group. LSU is thought to be one of the leaders, but USC is going to be interesting as well. He's not deciding until signing day so there's a long ways to go in this one."
