'14 CA CB Adoree' Jackson (Signed with USC)

NC State is a totally different team dude. We haven't improved to the naked eye. If you want to dig and dig and find things like that of course you can say something like that. When it all boils down to it...Did we make a bowl game last season? No. Did we make a bowl game this season. No. Recruits like AJ won't look at it like that. I know this isn't a Dooley team just like you do but winning is what wins recruits like Adoree that's across that United States. If he comes here it's only because USC/FL/ hurt themselves and Butch Jones is the man and out recruits the hell out of LSU.

I actually believe LSU will pull it out as well OP^ along with RB Leonard F.

Lol, I have no idea where he's going. When I look at him I see a USC/FL kind of guy though. It's going to be interesting. I think we finish forth behind LSU/FL/USC.

I hope to god I'm wrong.

You compared 2012 Vols to 2013.

That is why I brought up NC State - that was our tough non-Conf game last yr

If Dooley had been retained I am confident that our record would be 1-10 or 2-9 at best.

Butch will fix it if we let him - he can't be held responsible for the suck that has been UT football since 2008

I compared our record.. not our team.

If the rumor is true him taveling to Tennessee from California for the third time is key
1. LSU
2. Ut
3. USC
USC and Ut neck and neck remember coach o was the coach at ole misss and it didn't work out too good maybe Adoree looks at that

Coach O is a great motivator, players coach, and a great recruiter but if I was pat Haden I wouldn't hire him as your coach I would try to keep him on staff though Coach Os energy died out at ole miss and USC needs a defensive minded head coach and it would be a plus if he went to sc (jack del rio)

I get what you're saying though and I agree. I just don't think recruits look to deep into that. I hope he does though:good!:

It's not all that matters....It's what get's over that hump for us and we didn't do that. You can't say we have improved from last year.

Man I completely forgot about LSU though.

Actually you said that no one can say we have improved over last year.

I watched all games both seasons and yes I can honestly say we improved over last year.

If W-L record is all that matters then hand the trophy to Ohio state

His dad in Illinois is a huge plus for us....I think UT is #1 on the list so far....

I hope it does. It's still a good ways away though man. He would still have to fly so I don't think that will factor in much at all. It's like a 7 hour drive?

8 hours from Knoxville to Chicago.

Well I told you I meant records and I also said I agree so chill.

Also the only thing we improved on is defense. We haven't improved on offense and you cannot compare last years offense to this years. New offense/new players and he want's to play on both so that may factor in for him as well.

I truly believe that LSU wins out here.

Been fairly quiet on this one since his OV. The visit went well.

LSU is shaping up to have one hell of a secondary by 2015, might even surpass the Peterson-Clairborne-Reid-Simon-Matheiu-Brooks-Loston year.

Offense seems like a better fit than D, IMHO, on this one.

Improved on offense? Did ANYONE expect that we would??

I guess I should have put "We suck on offense" because you can't improve on something we haven't had. You get the point.

Did you really expect us to have a good offense this year? A first yer starter at QB. A bunch of freshmen and sophmore wr's. No TEs worth mentioning. An offensive line that has never proven to be an elite group of run blockers, and a RB who has been average all of his career.

Branisel is hurt, Downs has the tendency to fall that way, and Woody Quinn...well, nobody really knows what happened to him.

This offense is so short of playmakers. Pig or North going down means we instantly lose half our game plan. Lord knows what both of them being out would do.

We would probably score negative points. But help is coming.

I do not concur. Him being a volleyball player transitioning into SEC FOOTBALL is what happened. Imagine tossing around the old Vball one day and then trying to block SEC defensive lineman next, while taking hits over the middle by SEC linebackers. Can't be easy..

Toughness should have been readily apparent in his JC games ... Which UT coach crooted him?

Why? Serious question. Not being a jerk.

Because Adoree wants to play on both sides. It's worth talking about if that's something that could sway him...amiright?

No, I'm just going to say this one more time. Recruits like AJ(across the US) is not going to say "ahhh, I didn't expect them to be good but I'm still going to go there". The only thing that will stick out to them and get them to say "Yup, I want to play for him". Is if he see's improvement or a good offense/defense. He's not going to want to play on a offense who doesn't have an identity yet. Regardless of what we see and what we know. Big time recruits just don't look at it that way and say "I want to play there even though there's a chance it may not work out". They want to see proof that where they're dedicating themselves for four years is going to be the right place.

If you look at it like that, LSU is the only place right now with stability on both sides between LSU,USC,FL and UT. It's in that order really.

So all I'm saying is if somehow Adoree is a VOL at the end. Butch Jones needs a raise and a trophy for pulling something incredibly hard. It's not like he's a UT fan or anything that gives us an edge.

Edge
USC- He lives in Cali right now
UF- Track
LSU- Stability
UT- Nothing....The only thing that may give us an edge is he just feels more comfortable at UT and with LSU in the way that's going to be hard. Being closer to IL is not an advantage when it's still 8 hours away.

As of today it looks as if CWM at Florida is still going to be the coach and they're probably going to wipe out their assistant coaches. I'm not sure if this helps or not.

That was going to be MY weekend. College buddies and I were supposed to be going but one's home was broken into and another's wife went into labor and had a baby girl...

Hard to feel bitter but was going to be the first time we all went to a game together since '09.

Guess I'll have to "settle" for watching with my little girls at home.

This one will literally sit in my lap all night and watch the game as much as I will:

Boom! imo

Look, he's a 6'6 260-pound man. Either he can hang with the big boys now or he likely never will. I seem to recall very similar measurables belonging to one Robert Gronkowski, so physically there's no excuse for him not to be contributing right now. The whole point of bringing in JUCO guys is so that they can help immediately. They aren't supposed to need development.
