'14 CA CB Adoree' Jackson (Signed with USC)

why? think he just watched UT get that treatment at home vs Aub. Sadly Mushchamp gets another year for a few reasons.

Hmmm UT with first year HC, a very young team getting beat by a top 10 team.

UF with its first losing season in a long time getting destroyed at the swamp by in state rival.

Two completely different situations. There are legitimate excuses as to why we got killed. As Mark May said last night, UF doesn't have the luxury of those excuses. It remains to be seen as to whether WM gets another year or not. I am saying no after the FSU nightmare.

if it was going to happen would have already. No way Foley would wait until FSU to make change. Losing to GaSou is pretty much the only way he's not back according Pat Dooley(Gville Sun). I say keep him until Chip Kelly is canned or show clause is up.

The way the Eagles have looked the last 2 weeks, I wouldn't count on Kelly leaving Philly anytime soon.

No where near the same situation. Recruits are smarter than that, and you should be too. Muschamp has no excuse. Stay classy!

If they get Gruden I will puke

It wouldn't bother me honestly. Glad we got a recruiting beast, and good motivator.

IF he chose to go there, it's only because he sees a stacked roster (which Tennessee didn't have)

Either way, I think it will be a mistake on USC's part

If I was them I would go with Art Briles, or Sumlin

Florida athletic director Jeremy Foley has said Muschamp's job is safe, but that was a couple of weeks ago. That was before the Gators lost to Vanderbilt at home for the first time since 1945.

That's right, 1945 … when Jackie Robinson was still in the minors, Fidel Castro was studying law at Havana University, U.S. Marines secured Iwo Jima, 10-year-old Elvis Presley finished fifth in a singing contest at a county fair in Mississippi and Steve Spurrier was six months old, throwing his pacifier across his playpen and completing passes to his teddy bear.

Even at that age, Spurrier could coordinate an offense more complex than Florida's rudimentary attack of today. When Spurrier coached the Gators, the offense was called the Fun 'N Gun. Now it's called, The Fun Is Done.

Spurrier named the Swamp, and Vanderbilt drained it.

On Homecoming.

Or should we say Home Leaving?

Fans were booing and leaving the stadium at the outset of the fourth quarter with Vandy leading 31-10. This Gator offense has it backward. It is supposed to take the road crowd out of the game; not the home crowd.

After losing to Georgia last week, Muschamp got into a verbal altercation with a UF fan as he left the field. After losing to Vandy, he said fans have a right to say whatever they want.

And are they ever.

Said Chris Andres, a Gator fan from Deltona as he filed out of the stadium Saturday:

"When I get home, I'm going to start up a website — BringBackZook.com."

I’ve never got the impression that Florida fans ever embraced the Saban philosophy. Gators have a taste for wide-open offenses, not 3 yards and a cloud of dust. And super-toolbag left-handed fullbacks.

And, really, blaming Pease for this crap-tackular offense is like blaming the horse for the jockey making it run the wrong way.

Germane to this thread, if Jackson is looking at good track programs in addition to football, then LSU, UF, and USC make sense. But there’s incredible instability at two of those schools, and LSU’s football team does not look like the dominant team it was in the 00s.

I personally think Jackson would end up on offense wherever he goes. Orange Mamba, indeed. It seems like he would be perfect in that De’Anthony Thomas role.

While taking in the game, Jackson admitted he saw the Vols could use him early on either side of the ball.

"I saw that from the snaps I saw in the game, I saw I can be difference-maker and I feel like I can step in right away and help," Jackson explained. "They talked to me about getting the ball on offense and getting the ball in my hands and defensively locking down one side."

After the game Jackson talked to the Tennessee coaches and they let him know they could use him immediately and even though they were blown out he believes the Vols are on the right track under Butch Jones.

"The message from the coaches was that I can step in right away and they need speed," he said. "They're on the right track and they're going to get it done because they just need the pieces to keep it going."

Jackson said he thinks the Vols are headed in the right direction because he sees the faith in Jones from his current team.

"What stood out for me was the atmosphere of the stadium and how the players were when I went down there to talk to them and visit with them and hung out with them," Jackson noted. "All the (defensive backs), we hung out at (Byron Moore's) house so it was just nice to laugh and hang out. That was probably one of the best things, just feeling comfortable with the players."

"I got a feel for the campus. It was a different feeling than coming here for an unofficial visit the first game with the game environment and seeing how the players really were," Jackson said. "In the summer time everything is all gravy so just during the season, being able to see them, is nice."

"I think the players on the team, they all texted the coach, coach Jones said he had 37 messages from his own players, and that means a lot," Jackson explained. "Even though the players had a tough loss they're still texting their coach and letting him know how much they appreciate him and what he's doing and the players even tell him they just need the right players to get the job done. That 's how I know it's on the right track."

"It leaves (Tennessee) up there at the top with all the other schools," Jackson said.
