'14 CA CB Adoree' Jackson (Signed with USC)

I think we are playing catch up. He was asked who is recruiting him the hardest and he did not mention Tennessee.

Florida, Florida State, LSU, and USC.

Getting him on campus is the biggest hurdle. Once he's experienced an official visit and a gameday atmosphere, if he still choses to go elsewhere then we've done all we can do and it just wasn't meant to be.

So I'm happy to hear he's coming.

This.

His lead recruiter is Butch Jones though.

Getting him on campus though is a huge accomplishment if he makes it in. I think we still have a puncher's chance.

One reason for offering him just might be because he has expressed interest in Tennessee for some time now.The real surprise to me is how long it took for us to offer him

Don't understand this statement. UT offered him some time ago.

here you o with the bs but I'll play...From Scout(week of FSU visit)

"After receiving a visit from Florida secondary coach Travaris Robinson last week, Jackson said the Gators see him as a player who can impact games both offensively and defensively.

“Coach Robinson tells me he wants me to play both ways which is something I really want to do,” Jackson said. “I don’t want to just be a corner or receiver. I think I can make plays on both sides of the field.”

The visit between Robinson and Jackson went by far too quickly, but it left a lasting impression on Jackson.

“Coach T-Rob came by to see me last Thursday for a minute,” Jackson said. “I didn’t get to see him much because I was in a homecoming assembly but it was nice to know that he came all the way out here from Florida to see me just for a minute.”

Even though Robinson didn’t get the chance to talk to Jackson last week the communication between the two has been good so far during the recruiting process.

Jackson is a two-sport star who also stars in track and field, which could be a real plus for the Gators, who won the NCAA outdoor track and field championship the last two years. Jackson is also being heavily recruited heavily by Florida’s long jump coach as well and the communication there is great as well.

“I talk to Florida pretty often,” Jackson said. “I usually talk to T-Rob the most and sometimes Coach Muschamp. I talk to coach (Nic) Peterson, the long jump coach from Florida, a lot, too. Both of them just tell me how Florida is the place for me.”

Florida had a chance to impress Jackson when he was in town for Friday Night Lights in July and the Gators will get another opportunity to impress not only Jackson but his parents in the coming months when the family returns to Gainesville.

“I don’t think I’ll take an official but I’ll take an unofficial or two to Florida,” Jackson said. “Me and my parents are trying to work it out so I come back for the FSU game with them but if not then we will visit when I’m down there for the Under Armour game.”

With two officials down Jackson is now looking ahead to his other officials as he tries to find a leader in his recruitment.
I guess he closes kids with BS because there is no way this kid goes to FL and plays both ways. Same thing is happening at Michigan as I write this. Promises made to high-profile recruits to get them to sign and then they don't come through- now Mich kids want to transfer. If Jackson believes if he comes to FL he will play both ways we might not need him, won't make his grades because he doesn't sound that bright....

I hope Jackson goes to the Florida State / Florida game and watches the Gators get blown out. The crowd should be pretty dead by halftime.

On another note, why are we not looking at Adoree to play any RB? Especially with Paulk out, I think Jackson could be a good flex RB 3 behind Lane and Hurd. Or play him at CB, but bring him in on some occasions as a slot WR or even a wildcat option in the backfield.

On one last note though, I think Jackson ends up at USC. He's taken 5 unofficials there and gone to camp. Plus it's close to home. I think it just depends on who they end up picking up as their HC. Jackson (and several other Trojan condom fans) seems to think it's going to be Gruden :eek:lol:

California is not close to home, as he is from Illinois. If he's picking based on distance from home, you have to like our chances. I honestly think track wins out and he ends up at FSU or Florida.

What if Adoree' is able to meet and talk to Eric Berry? I think I have seen where EB may attend as well. What influence do you think that would have?

I'm just imagining this...Butch and the recruits rolling down the Tennessee River playing PS3. Up pulls this sweet wakeboarding boat and who is driving? It's Eric Berry coming to check on his little brothers!
"Oh hey Coach, hey guys, it's nice to BUMP into you. My name is Eric!"
Can anyone make this happen?

Should be a ps4 after nov 15th. Make it happen dave hart!

Our Facilities, Game day Atmosphere and chance to play instantly in the SEC at a storied program is a great recruiting pitch. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to see we need corners. He will come here and everything will fall into place.

Track isn't a big as a factor as some people are making out. I remember when Hubbs talked about recruiting Adoree Jackson. He said in not so uncertain terms that you have to identify the decision maker/confidant in his family circle. Obviously, it's his dad---I read that someone said that his dad being here isn't a big factor. Well, I say that it is a BIG deal---he'll be here with him just like he was on his UOV.

He originally said he would not be taking any officials to places he took an unofficial. We got him to change his mind. I LOVE our chances here.

Are we his last OV?? Cause I know he's been to OU, FL, LSU, recently maybe another school. So are we his last or does he have one more besides us?

Has one more. Read today on twitter that he scheduled his 4th OV for our game this weekend.
