'14 CA CB Adoree' Jackson (Signed with USC)

I am little concerned that he didn't list Tn as schools recruiting him the hardest. I am sure with great visit though that will change.

I wouldn't put too much stock into his dad coming with him. Imagine if your 17-18 year old son was flying across the country, especially a red eye, wouldn't you want to go with him? I know I would.

Don't get me wrong, his dad coming is a good thing. I hope Thig and Willy can work their magic.

Of course dad coming is relevant. If he wasn't coming I bet that would be relevant though. Haha

K. So let's pick apart words.

Let's try this again.
Since dad has been on most of his trips, him coming this time shouldn't make us feel any more confident than we were before IMO

It's definitely relevant, and it's also Dad's second visit to UT. I still don't think we are even in the final 3 for Adoree, but I hope I'm wrong.

Adoree' Jackson could be done with his official visits soon.

Anyone with a sub care to share? From the comments looks like he has 2 OV's left and will use them on UT and Oregon. Also sounds like the Gruden to USCw rumors are in full effect.

So no UF OV? Is that part of Champ's plan, HG?

here you o with the bs but I'll play...From Scout(week of FSU visit)

"After receiving a visit from Florida secondary coach Travaris Robinson last week, Jackson said the Gators see him as a player who can impact games both offensively and defensively.

“Coach Robinson tells me he wants me to play both ways which is something I really want to do,” Jackson said. “I don’t want to just be a corner or receiver. I think I can make plays on both sides of the field.”

The visit between Robinson and Jackson went by far too quickly, but it left a lasting impression on Jackson.

“Coach T-Rob came by to see me last Thursday for a minute,” Jackson said. “I didn’t get to see him much because I was in a homecoming assembly but it was nice to know that he came all the way out here from Florida to see me just for a minute.”

Even though Robinson didn’t get the chance to talk to Jackson last week the communication between the two has been good so far during the recruiting process.

Jackson is a two-sport star who also stars in track and field, which could be a real plus for the Gators, who won the NCAA outdoor track and field championship the last two years. Jackson is also being heavily recruited heavily by Florida’s long jump coach as well and the communication there is great as well.

“I talk to Florida pretty often,” Jackson said. “I usually talk to T-Rob the most and sometimes Coach Muschamp. I talk to coach (Nic) Peterson, the long jump coach from Florida, a lot, too. Both of them just tell me how Florida is the place for me.”

Florida had a chance to impress Jackson when he was in town for Friday Night Lights in July and the Gators will get another opportunity to impress not only Jackson but his parents in the coming months when the family returns to Gainesville.

“I don’t think I’ll take an official but I’ll take an unofficial or two to Florida,” Jackson said. “Me and my parents are trying to work it out so I come back for the FSU game with them but if not then we will visit when I’m down there for the Under Armour game.”

With two officials down Jackson is now looking ahead to his other officials as he tries to find a leader in his recruitment.

It is totally obvious that T-Rob is code for Tony Robinson not some obscure Florida secondary coach

that obscure DB coach has been named Recruiter of Year and is leading again this cycle. I'll put him up there with many HC when it comes to closing kids.

OK, this is a very huge get for us, since he picked to visit us over ND and many other high-profile schools. What needs to be done to get this kid on board besides re-creating another GA or USCe weekend? What are our chances long term? I think we at least have a fighting chance since he sees we are one of the "hot" teams right now in recruiting and are poised for a comeback.

Am I remembering wrong or has Adoree lived in Cali by himself for the last two years? I don't think a cross country flight is the reason he's accompanying him.

It does not matter. There is only one T-Rob acknowledged in Big Orange Country and, as Wilson27 observed, that is quarterback Tony Robinson.

We already have a lot going for us if you look at from his perspective -- playing time, incredible facilities/stadium, fans, great coaching staff, history of sending players pro, SEC, solid education, and our hidden weapon: location, location, location!

I think we're in decent shape with him. It looks like FSU and LSU will be the toughest competition. A win and a raucous crowd would do wonders in helping to secure a commitment from him.
