'14 CA CB Adoree' Jackson (Signed with USC)

I think it's more than just track, I think he specializes in long jump and the UF coach is on the staff of the US Olympic team I believe. I could be wrong on this, but to my understanding he isn't a sprinter, but more concerned with long jumping.

He's talked about both, and he's mentioned the coach you're referencing specifically.

Hubbs was talking a week or two ago about the track issue being kind of overrated. Highly unlikely this kid winds up in the Olympics he's going to make his money with football. Although, just recently finding out he's not visiting here makes me feel pretty strongly he'll commit elsewhere.

Hubbs may be right about track being overrated. I think everyone, including Jackson, knows he's going to make his career in football. However, with each school he notes specifically that he likes, especially all three SEC schools (UT, UF, and LSU), he typically talks about the track team and being a two-sport athelete.

I wouldn't lose hope about signing him simply because he's not visiting UT again. He said that he won't be visiting any of the schools that he's already visited again simply because he's already seen them. He lives on the West coast, and a lot of the schools that he's interested in are long trips. Thus, he's making it a point to get out and see other schools. I expect UT and UF to be in his final set of schools, even if he doesn't visit either again.

"Quick recruiting note on Adoree Jackson...

Don't be surprised if it comes out that Adoree Jackson will be officially visiting Knoxville for the Auburn game. Talked to some close to him and that looks to be the case. LSU, Florida and Oregon probably the other three after his Oklahoma visit this past weekend to round out his five."

good news... I am still holding out hope we can land this guy. Neyland needs to be absolutely rocking like last week if so!

Wow. Awesome news. I honestly thought we never had a real shot at this guy, but if he's coming for an OV then game on.

I bet after seeing about the UGA game and hearing other recruits talk about how crazy the atmosphere was, he couldn't turn down the chance to see Neyland go crazy in person.

With Blair's commitment today and us fighting for Clifton Garrett this news with Adoree' is just overwhelmingly good. If Garrett and Adoree' ended up committed to UT we would undoubtedly be back sooner rather than later.

If we get Jackson and Garrett, throw the d*** bank at the whole coaching staff.

I'd love to have Adoree & Garrett, but IMO we will be back sooner with or without Garrett & Jackson.

This staff will win with their players...no doubt in my mind.

Would he be a starter here from day one?

Hard to tell. You never know how quickly someone will make the jump from high school to college. I for one didn't expect Cam Sutton to be starting but he has over achieved thus far, but Jackson has potential to see the field early whether it be on offense, defense, or returning kicks.

I agree completely. Just meant that adding elite players really helps to ease the process :)
