'14 CA CB Adoree' Jackson (Signed with USC)

I think we gave the kid something to think about ....the track thing is going to be huge for him apparently....you can't deny those comments were very positive for us.

I really really want this kid. He's an absolute stud at corner. Could easily be a 4-year stater for us. Gonna be a hard get but I got faith in Butch.

"(Martinez) was with me all the time," Jackson said. "We were just chatting, having a laugh, joking around and we talked recruiting a little bit probably when I sat down in their office I'd say about five minutes. After that we were just talking it up."

"I would say I think much more differently about them," Jackson said. "This is my first visit. Since recruiting I've just been hanging out, chilling at the house, working out. So, this was my first one out and so they hit it off hard."

Payne on if Adoree' committed:

"It would mean a lot to me," Payne said. "We would shut the SEC down. I think it would be very good to have him."

"It's way too early because I think I'm going to do some other visits. I don't know. If I don't then maybe," Jackson said when asked about an official to Tennessee.

If he decides to take an OV back to Knoxville, we will be up to 20%. :)

Ha. Hey, if you stay conservative, you are rarely disappointed.

I think we helped ourselves tremendously with Adoree' this weekend. This guy would be the perfect signing day addition. I am honestly beginning to believe we can get him.

Wish someone would put Saban's face on the Death Star, or the Bama "A.: :lolabove:

Danny Parker @TheDannyParker

Adoree Jackson (@AdoreeKnows) is 5-foot-9 1/2. #Vol commit @ToddKellyJr6 said Jackson — w/shoes untied & wearing jeans — dunked a basketball

Yikes. Think of what he could do if he tied his shoes!

That was actually crazy because when I first walked in they all started clapping and I was shocked and I was walked in and everybody was clapping and waiting for me and so I shook their hands and gave them some hugs," Jackson said Sunday after his visit. "It was just a great welcome. I've never seen that, ever. That does stick out to me a lot."

"It was exciting. It was very fun to be up here," Jackson said. "It was different from all my other visits I guess you could say. Just spending time with the coaches and players and just having fun and relaxing and seeing some current players that are here, it was just a good experience."

"It was unexpected for me. I thought we were just going to sit around like a junior day like everyone else does it," Jackson said. "So, it was just a fun time hanging out with everyone and laughing and making jokes and stuff like that."

"The coaches and the players and how they treated me when I got here," Jackson said of what stood out to him. "The staff people treated me really well and it felt like a home welcoming. You can see that fan support on my twitter and it came out to be true when I got here."

"I think it exceeded it. It's just great to be here," Jackson explained. "I think the hype was worth it."

Jackson said the coaching staff spent little time on football and lots of time getting to know him and he said he appreciated that.

"I got to know them and with it being their first year here they got to break down things with me scheme-wise and how they're going to use me and things like that," Jackson said. "We didn't really talk much about recruiting, we were just talking about starting a relationship just in case on signing day I do sign here I already have a relationship with everybody."

"For me they said whichever place I'd want to play first. If I want to do offense and part-time (defense) or if I want to do defense and part-time offense. Basically I think I'd do 'D' and part-time offense the more I see the schemes and stuff," Jackson said. "Being a corner, schools don't really have good corners that stand out. Everybody has a good receiver that sticks out and I want to be a dynamic player and use me on both sides of the ball to get me touches and that's what I like about it."
why I want to do special teams as well and if a school lets me do what I'm good at at Serra and doing it here, I like that."

Also important to Jackson are the track programs of the schools he's looking at and he was able to speak to Tennessee track coach J.J. Clark
"I just talked to the head coach bed to get out of here so I talked to him. It was very important and the long jump coach was wanting to talk to me as well," Jackson said.

Up next is a possible visit to Florida's Friday Night Lights this upcoming Friday but the trip isn't for certain.

"It was helpful and it probably was a great thing to do just to get a visit out because if I didn't I may have not got to visit because of recruiting," Jackson said. "Everything happened for a reason so it's a great thing."

Silent.
Never makes it to Florida.

Good lord we are Tennessee not freakin Ole Miss, we have won championships and had great recruiting classes before. All teams go through cycles, bama in the 90's,LSU many times and so on.The big teams in the SEC always come back, just look at the history if LSU,UGA,Bama,UT amd the barn. We have tradition and great facilities and great resources for ath and academics, it doesn't take cheating when you have all those so I doubt the only eyebrows going to be raised by the NCAA is when we are holding the championship trophy again here in a few more years.

So true, but one correction. Bamer sucked well passed the late 90's. They were winning 3, 4, or 5 games a year till the mid 2000's. They didn't start winning again till 08. We won 7 straight on them! When they were down to 3 wins a year it was really bad and I loved it! I think it was 2003 and/or 2004. They were down for a long time, up and down for about 10 years.
