'14 CA CB Adoree' Jackson (Signed with USC)

Assuming it's the one I read before, there was nothing to add about Tennessee except when asked about programs with strong track programs he said FLorida, Florida State, USC, LSU & TENN

Let this one go got as much as chance in landing this one as you do catching a fart in a wind storm.:birgits_giggle:

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. -- Five-star cornerback Adoree' Jackson has eight schools in contention for his commitment right now, and he hopes to whittle that down to five or six following the 2014 Under Armour All-America Game on Thursday.

Adoree' Jackson
Five-star CB Adoree' Jackson will narrow his list following the Under Armour All-America Game.

Florida, Florida State, Illinois, LSU, Oregon, Tennessee, UCLA and USC are all in the hunt, but Jackson will cut two or three out within a week.

"I don't have a leader, not yet," Jackson said. "After the game, I'm going to announce the top six or top five, whichever one I feel. Then I'm going to go on from there."

The multi-talented athlete has long insisted that he'd like to compete in both track and football at the college level, and he has Olympic aspirations in track.

Florida is one of just two programs that has sent a track coach all the way out to California to meet with him, along with Florida State.

Jackson also said the Gators are recruiting him the hardest of any program, recently visiting with him before the dead period.

"[Travaris Robinson] stopped by with coach Joker (Phillips) and coach (D.J.) Durkin," Jackson said. "They fit good, me just having a relationship with them and everything in my situation, everything they have in their situation is playing out."

The five-star prospect has one official visit remaining, and it doesn't look like Florida will be able to secure a second visit from the Juniperro Serra star.

Right now, Jackson seems intent on using his final official visit on Oregon.

4. Travaris Robinson, Florida, defensive backs coach
Florida DB coach Travaris Robinson's relationship with Adoree' Jackson could be key in his recruitment.

"I'm thinking about going up to Oregon to see everything they have," he said. "For me, I want to major in broadcasting. Them being in Nike and communications and stuff like that, I know they have a great situation for me up there. You know, (see) the facilities they have and the current players that they have up there, what they like about it."

Along with sending a track coach to visit with him, Jackson said Florida was also one of three schools that sent coaches by his house to visit with his parents. LSU and Illinois were the other two to do so.

"For me, I'd say Florida would probably be the hardest recruiting me," he said. "They're staying on me, calling, talking to me, seeing how everything's going. You know, just (telling me) the need that they have with the lack of corners at that position."

Still, Jackson hasn't visited Florida since Friday Night Lights, more than five months ago.

He said that won't be a major factor in his decision, though.

"I've seen what they have and I was there for three days and I know pretty much what's going on," Jackson said. "I don't think things will change other than the season they had, but that's not a big factor."

So what will the highly coveted prospect be looking for in his school of choice?

"If I feel comfortable there, that's the main thing," he said. "If I could see myself staying there after three years and they're going to get me to the next level."

I just don't understand why Tennessee hasn't sent their track coach, as well. If he is that great in track too, it seems like our track coach would definitely want him.

Update from Adam Gorney at UA registration.

"Adoree' Jackson is here and he's going to release a top six after the Under Armour game. He said Florida, LSU and USC will make the list and then UCLA, Florida State, Tennessee, Oklahoma and Oregon are also under serious consideration.

As has been mentioned previously, track is going to play a serious factor in his decision. Decision will come on signing day."

"florida, florida state, tennessee, lsu, illinois, oregon, ucla and usc are all still in it," jackson said. "i don't have a leader yet. After the game i will announce a top five or six, and then i will go on from there."

"it's going to play in a lot," jackson said of the track influence that will help shape his football decision. "i want to go to the olympics, so that's big for me. Everyone i've talked with, i talk with the track coaches. "florida, florida state, lsu, tennessee and usc stand out to me."

jackson also said tennessee, who landed an official visit on nov. 9, remains in the mix.
"i would say they have a legit shot," he said. "the other recruits, i have a relationship with them, and the coaching staff is awesome. I like it."

Kid is sharp, he even lists his "stand-out" schools in alphabetical order. Impossible to get a read. My money is UF, UT, USC battle

I could see this kid going anywhere just like everybody else. But my guess is more Oregon than USC if he stays out west. It seems it could give him more than Florida for football and track with the CWM situation.

I don't see UT with our track program where it is right now. It would've been differenet before it got Hamilton.

I don't see LSU either. He may want to be closer to home but if he could live away in highschool then he most certainly could in college.

I know nothing but would pick Oregon. They have great facilities and former teammates ect. Just my guess.

also one of Duck T&F coaches was at UF when Jackson got his offer and may be up for a spot on Team USA staff.

I don't like the description of "legit shot." To me that kinda sound like a consolation prize to keep it interesting. I really hope I'm wrong because Adoree would absolutely have a bigger impact here than anywhere else he is considering. He'd be a rockstar in knoxville

Simply put he is not making predicting where he is going easy.. I've seen every prediction.. He is not an emotional kid during interviews which makes him hard to read.. For someone following his recruiting to say forget about adding him to our already amazing recruiting class is ignorant.. We have as good as a shot as anyone else.. There is also roughly 30 days left to recruit him.. At this point I don't even think Adoree himself could predict where he will sign come signing day.. But we are very much still in this..
