Couple of things on this guy:

- was on the verge of committing to fsu a few weeks ago

- decided not to commit to fsu after if offered him...he says he grew up a gator fan.

- saban has hired his hs coach

Yeah im sure Saban had to go to the extreme by hiring his coach to get one recruit to go to Bama. Lord knows he needs to do this to get a recruit to go there. :rolleyes:

Visited UF this wknd. As per an article in the gville sun, Thornton says he could commit to UF at any time. I'm always nervous with any kid from Alabama, so we'll see....but apparently he's a lifelong gator fan because UF's football team visited his brother in the hospital back in 2000/2001.

UF leader and FSU 2nd. Says he will commit in August before season starts.

I am not one enamored with 40 times, but that 4.8 seems a bit slow at 215 pounds. Probably an old time. You also don't have to have great straight line speed as a DE.

Jason Witten ran a 4.65 at the combine at 6'6," 260 lbs.

The main reason Auburn hasnt been in on these top Vigor kids recently is because Vigor and Auburn High are rival schools and alot of the kids there hate Auburn.

Bama is on the outside looking in as well for this kid. Kid seems to want to leave the state. Even USCe and USCw are higher at this point than the instate schools.
