Has top 4 of Auburn, Bama, Clemson and UCLA but TN made big impression this weekend.

“When I go back to Auburn, I’m going to think about Tennessee.”

“I was actually trying to visit a few weeks ago, but I never got a chance to,” Evans said. “But (last) weekend, I told my dad, I was like, we’ve got to get up here. I actually got on the phone with Coach Thigpen, and he told me to come up here. He told me a little bit about the school and stuff like that, and now I see it. Everything he said was true.”

“We’re cool, man,” Evans said of Thigpen. “As far as the relationship, man, it’s getting even stronger. Whenever I come (to see him), he always shows me a good time. Really, our relationship is just getting stronger and stronger. ...

“Pretty much, they told me point-blank, they were like, ‘We want you.’ They actually told us about the linebackers. Like, five linebackers are leaving (after this year), so Coach Thigpen told me that he’s going to be recruiting 30 guys ... and he said that he needs five linebackers.”

“Really, right now I’m just open,” he said. “Regardless of how far (away) a college is, I just want to pick what’s best for me.”

“I’m going to try to make the spring game,” Evans said. “They told me about the spring game, so I’m going to actually try to go to that. Then, maybe I might come to a few practices and stuff like that.”

"This was actually my first time. It was fun. I got to see all the facilities and it was big. I really enjoyed it," Evans said. "As far as having a good relationship, me and Thigpen, we already have a good relationship with him being at Auburn. Me meeting all the other coaches and stuff, it was really fun," Evans said. "We're cool. We're starting to get even, as far as our relationship, it's getting even stronger. Whenever I come up here he's going to show me a good time"

"The stadium, when I went to the stadium they showed us a highlight tape and stuff like that and it gave me chill bumps," Evans said. "When I went out there to the stadium they really showed me something and I'm going to remember that every time I come back or go back to Auburn."

"They told me point blank, 'We want you.' They told me that they need five linebackers," Evans said. "(Thigpen) told me he's going to be recruiting 30 guys and they are going to offer all of them because they need five linebackers. But, they pretty much told me they want me and they are all about me."

"Really, just if I feel comfortable at the school. I really want to commit to the school and not the coach because a lot of times the coach is unpredictable so you really don't know where a coach is going to go," Evans said. "So, I really want to do what's best for me."

“tennessee has kind of shocked me,” evans said. “i did not really think they were my style so much. When i went up there for a visit i really enjoyed it and i just picked things back up with coach [tommy] thigpen. With him being there from auburn, that has really helped things with tennessee because he has told me what they are all about and i know him really well. “

“i love the new staff at tennessee,” evans said. “butch jones and coach thigpen have given me a good outlook on the type of defense they play to employ and how i would be utilized so that has me really excited about the volunteers.”

Rashaan posted a 4.72 40 yard dash, a 4.43 shuttle, and a vertical of 33.6 inches. He checked in at 6'3 and 211.

It's big for the Vols to get Evans in again after he was just here a few weeks ago, but it speaks volumes of the relationship he has with Thigpen, who's already having his impact felt.

If we pull Bates early enough, I'd say it gives us a good shot at Hamilton. Elite players want to play with other elite players.
