Went to LSU Junior Day last weekend. Sounds like he really likes LSU and wants an offer from them.

Interview with scout:

Liked the way the defensive intensity and pace was set up. Said the NFL is set up the same way with that tempo, so he could definitely see himself in this D.

Wants a school with good academics, great coaching staff, someone that will better him for life, not just football.

Wants to make a decision before senior year. Tennessee is "definitely" in his top 5 schools.

Reporter said, "So one thing stood out from all those other schools that have offered?" Davis replied with a big smile "It just felt like home away from home. It felt like this is where I need to be at."

Really liked our facilities. He likes our tradition as well.

Grew up an LSU fan, they have not offered.

Visiting LSU next Sat, and UGA, AU, UF in the spring. Will "definitely" return to Knoxville before he makes a decision. Also said that he wants to be 100% sure before he commits, he wants to remain loyal to wherever he chooses.

Based off the way he spoke, he seemed like part of him wanted to commit this weekend, but wants to be certain. If LSU offers, it will be a battle. Playing time seemed to be his biggest factor, and the family atmosphere, so we have that in our favor. As of right now, the impression I got, he is ours to lose unless he gets that LSU offer.

Really wants early playing time.

Uncertain if he will be an EE or not.

Top 5 of LSU, UT, USCe, UK, FSU in no order.

Davis tallied 148 tackles, 16 tackles for loss, eight forced fumbles and two field goals blocked during the 2012 season for Vigor (Ala.) High School.

LSU has offered and he calls it his "dream school" according to a new rivals article.

Idk if they offered him today or what, but he said in an interview they did yesterday that he wants that offer.

Deshaun Davis has a scholarship offer from LSU. Watch out.
"For me to get that opportunity," Davis said, "it means a lot to me."
The 6-foot, 230-pound inside linebacker from Prichard (Ala.) Vigor has repeatedly said he grew up a fan of the Tigers. So what would another school have to do to lure him away from LSU?

"Just show me that they really want me," Davis said. "I'm a big fan of playing early. Not saying I have to come in my freshman year and jump in on Saturdays but as soon as possible I want to hit the field.

Davis almost sounded like he was committed to Tennessee on Saturday. Not so. However, he did enjoy meeting Tennessee's coaches.

"They told me about the defense," Davis said. "Seeing how the defense played, they have a lot of energy and play with a lot of excitement. They've got a swagger about themselves and I think I want to be a part of that."

Davis said he wanted to name a list of finalists before his senior season. He offered a hint as to which schools might make the cut.
"Tennessee is going to be one of those top five schools," he said. "If I had to name my top five today, it would be LSU, Tennessee, Florida State, South Carolina and Kentucky."

Clemson offered a couple days ago.

"I was just happy and excited about the whole situation," Davis said. "They were one of the first schools to contact me when I was in the 10th grade and Clemson was one of the first schools to show interest in me. With the offer, it's better late than never."

"I like Clemson and I like South Carolina a lot," Davis said. "I like FSU and LSU. I went to Tennessee by (linebackers) coach (Tommy) Thigpen and that really jumped out to me. I don't have a Top 5 yet but I'll have an official one after our spring game on May 13. I'm going to come up with one on May 22."
